Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers about Queen Bed Blankets before you buy.
A standard queen blanket is typically 90 x 90 inches. This provides enough overhang on the sides to cover the mattress and tuck neatly under the pillows or footboard.
If you prefer deep pressure stimulation, a weighted blanket is excellent, but ensure you select one that is slightly larger than your standard quilt to prevent the weights from shifting during sleep.
For hot sleepers, look for breathable natural fibers like bamboo, linen, or lightweight cotton. For those who feel the chill, high-quality wool or heavy fleece provides superior heat retention.
To maintain a smooth texture, wash your blankets inside out on a gentle cycle and avoid high heat in the dryer, which can damage delicate fibers and cause friction-based pilling.
Microfiber is highly durable and moisture-wicking, making it great for budget-friendly layering, whereas cotton offers superior breathability and a more natural feel for long-term comfort.
Yes, layering is a great way to customize warmth. A common setup involves a lightweight cotton sheet, a medium-weight duvet, and a decorative throw blanket at the foot of the bed.
Check the GSM (grams per square meter) rating. A lower GSM indicates a lightweight summer blanket, while a higher GSM signifies a heavy, insulating winter blanket.
