Best Christmas Blankets in 2026

You might assume a giant, hand-knit blanket like this would be prone to shedding or feeling scratchy, but the Bigacogo chunky knit throw actually delivers on that high-end aesthetic without the typical discomfort. The jumbo chenille yarn creates a heavy, plush texture that feels substantial when draped over a sofa or used for movie nights. At 51 by 63 inches, it hits a sweet spot for size—large enough to wrap up in, yet manageable enough to style as a decorative accent on a bed. I was particularly impressed by the structural integrity of the thick rope knots, which stay looking intentional rather than falling apart. It is a surprisingly practical piece of decor that manages to feel both luxurious and easy to maintain via machine washing.

You might worry that a blanket this oversized and 'holey' will feel flimsy or fall apart after one wash, but this Bigacogo throw holds its own. The jumbo chenille yarn gives it a substantial, high-end weight that makes it perfect for curling up on the sofa during a movie marathon. At 51 by 63 inches, it offers plenty of coverage without feeling like a heavy weighted blanket. I was particularly impressed by the hand-knit texture, which adds a sophisticated, artisanal touch to a living room or bed. It manages to look incredibly high-end while remaining practical enough for regular use, provided you use a mesh laundry bag to keep those thick loops secure in the machine.

Most people assume a chunky knit blanket is a heavy-duty piece of bedding, but this Bigacogo version is actually a specialized accent piece. Don't let the oversized lifestyle photos fool you. At 40x40 inches, this ivory throw is specifically scaled for kids or as a cozy lap blanket for a single chair. The jumbo chenille yarn is hand-knit into a beautiful, holey cable pattern that adds instant texture to a sofa or bed. It feels incredibly plush and soft against the skin without the shedding or scratchiness often found in cheaper bulky knits. It is a sweet, tactile gift for birthdays or holidays, provided you are looking for a small, decorative cuddle rather than a full-sized bedspread.
