Best Franklin Sports Field Hockey in 2026

Every diehard NHL fanatic needs one of these Franklin Sports mini goalie masks to finally bridge the gap between sports obsession and home decor. I was immediately struck by how much detail went into this tiny replica, from the authentic pro-style cage design to the shiny chrome 'cat-eye' finish that catches the light perfectly. It isn't just a cheap plastic toy. The molded vented shell and foam liner give it a substantial, high-quality feel that makes it a legitimate collectible. At roughly five inches long, it is the ideal size for a desk, bookshelf, or even a car dashboard. It even arrives in a clear display box, making it a ready-to-go gift for the hockey enthusiast in your life who already has everything.

Is there anything more frustrating than a shredded net ruining a perfect game of street hockey? This Franklin Sports replacement net is the quickest way to get your driveway or park setup back in action without buying an entirely new goal frame. It is an officially licensed NHL product designed specifically for use with 2 5/8" street hockey balls, ensuring you maintain that authentic feel. The construction uses a heavy-duty polyester with a 1.5" mesh that feels significantly more premium and rugged than standard thin netting. Installation is straightforward thanks to the reinforced perimeter and included tie strings, which make securing it to an official 72" goal frame a breeze. It is a smart, durable fix for any player dealing with holes or tears in their current equipment.

Aspiring young hockey players demanding professional-grade protection without the pro-level price tag need these Franklin Sports shin guards in their gear bag immediately. I was particularly impressed by the full-flex design of the shin and knee caps, which allows for natural movement on the ice rather than feeling like you are wearing rigid armor. The high-impact plastic provides a solid shield against pucks and sticks, while the nylon construction keeps the overall weight manageable. You won't have to deal with overheating during intense shifts thanks to the air-flow vented construction, and the two adjustable self-stick straps ensure a secure, customized fit every time you lace up. It is a reliable, officially licensed piece of equipment that balances safety with mobility.

The Franklin Sports NHL GC 130 Jr is a standout entry-level option for young goaltenders looking to sharpen their reflexes on the street or in the crease. I found that the deep pocket and integrated T-trap design make snagging fast-moving street hockey balls much more intuitive for developing players. Protection is clearly a priority here, as the full-coverage backhand pad and reinforced cuff do an excellent job of shielding small hands from errant sticks. It is a sturdy piece of gear that bridges the gap between casual backyard play and serious skill development. Whether they are practicing hand-eye coordination or defending a goal, this glove provides the essential security a junior goalie needs to play with confidence.

You might wonder if adding an extra layer under your goalie gloves is actually worth the bulk, but the Franklin Sports Tuukka Rask CFX set changes the equation for young goaltenders. This kit is surprisingly versatile because it includes two distinct left-hand gloves tailored for different scenarios. One version features heavy palm padding specifically to handle the punishing impact of high-velocity practice shots, while the second version strips that extra padding away to prioritize a natural grip and comfort during actual games. The digitally-etched sheepskin leather feels incredibly soft, and the quad-flex creasing prevents that annoying material bunching in the palm. It is a smart, specialized solution for players who want to protect their hands without sacrificing their ability to feel the puck.

Franklin Sports has engineered a dual-purpose solution that is essential for any young goaltender looking to bridge the gap between practice intensity and game-day precision. This set is unique because it provides two distinct left-hand gloves tailored for different scenarios. One glove features reinforced palm padding specifically to absorb the heavy impact of pucks during repetitive practice drills. The second option strips away that extra bulk, prioritizing a natural grip and comfort for actual game play. Both utilize digitally-etched sheepskin leather to ensure the material stays soft and tacky regardless of the environment. With quad-flex creasing and tectonic fit inserts, these gloves move naturally with your hand without the annoying material bunching that usually plagues under-gloves.
