The warm grain of the ash-colored plywood immediately catches your eye, making this lamp feel more like a piece of sculptural art than a standard light fixture. Standing just over five feet tall, the HROOME floor lamp uses a clever swing arm design that allows you to arc the light directly over a reading chair or a desk. I found the sliding track mechanism incredibly useful for finding that perfect sweet spot in a corner, and at under ten pounds, it is surprisingly easy to reposition around a room. While it arrives with a cool white LED bulb, the E26 socket gives you the freedom to swap in a warmer tone if you want a cozier vibe. It is a charming, unpretentious addition that brings a distinct farmhouse aesthetic to any small living space.

After weeks of use, this walnut wood dog lamp has transitioned from a quirky conversation piece to an essential part of my nightly routine. The movable swing arm is incredibly playful, allowing you to pose the wooden dog in various positions that mimic a real pet. I found the touch sensor functionality to be seamless. A light tap on the head toggles through three brightness levels, ranging from a soft nightstand glow to a bright, flicker-free light perfect for reading. While the scale is a bit smaller than I initially anticipated and requires some assembly with an Allen wrench, the premium feel of the real walnut wood makes it feel much more high-end than a standard plastic desk lamp. It is a charming blend of functional lighting and sculptural art.

Most people settle for bulky, utilitarian floor lamps that just sit in a corner, but the HROOME swing arm lamp transforms a light source into a sculptural centerpiece. I found the walnut-finished plywood construction incredibly sturdy, avoiding the warping issues common with cheaper materials. The design feels intentional rather than accidental, especially with that stylish cloth braided cord that adds a premium, tactile touch. It’s surprisingly bright too. The included 8-watt LED bulb delivers a warm 2700K glow that mimics a 180W incandescent without the heat. Assembly is a bit of a project, taking about 25 minutes of putting wood building blocks together, but it’s an engaging process that results in a high-end, architectural look for any bedroom or office.
