After weeks of use in my kitchen under-cabinet lighting, the efficiency of these Newhouse Lighting T5 bulbs has become impossible to ignore. Swapping out old 18W halogens for these 3W LED replacements immediately lowered the heat output in my workspace, which is a massive plus for food prep areas. The 3,000K color temperature provides a soft, cool white glow that feels much more modern than the harsh yellow of traditional bulbs. While you might notice they aren't quite as blindingly bright as the old incandescent versions, the 280 lumens provide plenty of functional light for task work. They reach full brightness instantly, and with a 35,000-hour lifespan, I don't expect to be climbing a ladder to replace these for a very long time.
