Best Cr123 Handheld Flashlights in 2026

Every emergency kit and everyday carry pocket deserves this ultra-compact powerhouse. At just 4.2 inches long, the LE1000 is small enough to vanish into your pocket, yet it packs enough punch to illuminate an entire room or cast a beam nearly 500 feet away. I found the head-pulling zoom feature incredibly intuitive. You can quickly switch from a wide flood beam for walking the dog to a tight spot beam for searching in the distance. Since it is built from military-grade aluminum with an IPX4 water resistance rating, it handles light rain and snowy conditions without breaking a sweat. It even includes three AAA batteries right out of the box, making it a truly grab-and-go solution for camping or unexpected power outages.

Why settle for a single flashlight when you can equip your entire household for any emergency? The EverBrite 18-pack is a massive value play that solves the common headache of losing small lights or running out of power mid-crisis. Each miniature torch features a rugged aluminum body and a non-slip grip, making them tough enough for backpacking or backyard BBQs. I love that they include 54 AAA batteries in the box, meaning you can hand these out to kids or stash them in hurricane kits immediately. With six different colors to choose from and a simple tail-cap button, these are incredibly user-friendly. Just a heads-up: if they arrive without power, check for an insulation slice inside the battery compartment to activate them.

Hidden pet stains and counterfeit security codes are nearly impossible to spot without the right spectrum of light. The DARKBEAM UV flashlight solves this by utilizing a dedicated 365nm wavelength, which is far more effective for serious detection than the common, overly bright 395nm versions. Because it emits very little visible light, it allows you to see fluorescent agents and biological traces clearly even in ambient light. I found the adjustable focus incredibly useful. You can widen the beam to scan a whole room or narrow it down to pinpoint a specific spot on a carpet. It is built from a durable aluminum alloy and is small enough to toss into a glove box or toolbox, making it a highly portable tool for housework or professional identification tasks.

Serious outdoor enthusiasts and tactical professionals demand gear that won't quit when conditions turn south, and the SureFire G2X Pro delivers exactly that level of reliability. The premium aluminum body feels rugged in the hand thanks to the non-slip textured grip, and the adjustable zoom function is a clever touch for shifting from close-up stain detection to scanning an entire yard. It is a versatile tool for everything from authenticating currency to medical forensics, though you do need to remember to source your own 18650 or CR123 batteries separately.

I found the three-mode system—high, low, and strobe—refreshingly simple, avoiding the annoying cycle of five or six modes found in most tactical lights. The zoomable design allows me to switch from a wide flood light to a concentrated spotlight instantly. Because it runs on four AA batteries and uses PDO technology, I managed to get nearly 30 hours of light on the low setting, which is a massive relief when you're far from a power source.

Most people assume a pocket-sized light is just for finding keys under a couch, but the Energizer TAC 700 punches way above its weight class.
