Best Cloth Kennel Covers in 2026

You might doubt whether a single blanket can actually shield your expensive upholstery from a heavy-set dog or a messy cat, but the Ameritex waterproof cover is a genuine game-changer for pet owners. I was skeptical about the 'guaranteed' waterproof claim, yet this protector does an incredible job of blocking moisture from seeping into your sofa or bed. It feels more like a luxurious, super soft throw than a rigid plastic sheet, making it comfortable enough for humans to lounge on too. The reversible design is a clever touch, allowing you to swap colors to match your decor whenever you feel like a change. Plus, when accidents inevitably happen, you can just toss it in the machine with a cold wash and tumble dry low to get it back to looking brand new.

Anxious or easily distracted dogs require the sense of security that only a high-quality blackout cover can provide. The HONEST OUTFITTERS crate cover uses a rugged 600D Oxford fabric that feels incredibly substantial, offering a wind-proof and water-proof shield that stands up to even the most determined scratchers.
