Best Forum Novelties Kids Costume Hats in 2026

The Forum Novelties Biblical Times Jesus Child Costume offers a surprisingly layered look for young actors and holiday enthusiasts. Instead of a flimsy single-piece outfit, this set provides a more authentic feel by including both an inner robe and an outer robe, tied together with a matching belt. It is specifically tailored for children sized 8-10, accommodating weights up to 62 pounds, which makes it a reliable choice for school plays or themed parties. While the core ensemble is solid, keep in mind that you will need to source a beard, sandals, and a cane separately to complete the full historical aesthetic. It is a dependable, classic option from a brand that has specialized in novelty dressing for over three decades.

A cheap costume piece can actually anchor an entire outfit if the texture looks convincing enough. This brown cowboy hat from Forum Novelties relies on a faux suede finish to elevate it above the standard, shiny plastic hats you often see at party stores. While it is designed as a single accessory for adult costuming, the material provides a much more authentic western aesthetic for your themed event or photo op. It follows a one-size-fits-most approach, making it a reliable, low-stakes addition to a wardrobe for anyone needing a quick character transformation. Since Forum Novelties has been a staple in the novelty industry for over three decades, you know exactly what you are getting: a straightforward, functional piece of apparel that gets the job done without unnecessary complexity.

Forum Novelties has been a staple in the costume industry for over three decades, and that experience shows in the playful design. These are sized for children between 46 and 53 inches tall, weighing up to 62 pounds, making them a perfect accessory for Christmas parties or Halloween festivities. Just remember that costume sizing differs from standard clothing, so it is wise to double-check specific measurements before the big event to ensure a perfect fit for your little one.

The Forum Novelties Seven Seas Pirate Costume delivers an instant high-seas transformation with its impressively detailed captain's jacket and faux leather accents. This set is a complete ensemble, featuring a jacket with gold button embellishments, an attached shirt with a faux leather vest front, a waist sash, and even pull-on boot covers to complete the look. The skull and crossbones hat, paired with a striped head scarf, adds that essential cinematic flair for any little adventurer. While the outfit looks fantastic, keep in mind that the sizing follows specific costume measurements rather than standard clothing sizes, so checking the brand's dedicated chart is a must for a perfect fit. It is a versatile choice that works just as well for Halloween as it does for a patriotic book report. Just a word of advice from someone who has seen these sizing mishaps: do not pick a size based on your child's age. The soft, matte texture of the black suede immediately elevates this from a basic plastic prop to a much more convincing costume piece. This Forum Novelties hat is designed specifically for little outlaws and western adventurers aged 4 to 8, providing that essential finishing touch for any dress-up session. I particularly like the inclusion of a drawstring, which helps keep the hat secure during active play or high-energy pretend adventures. While it is sized for younger children, the material feels substantial enough to survive multiple costume changes. Just be sure to double-check your color selection during checkout, as this style also comes in a brown version, but the black suede option offers a sleek, classic look for any mini cowboy.

Most people assume a costume is just a single piece of fabric, but this set actually functions as a complete wardrobe transformation. I found that the sheer number of components included makes a massive difference in how authentic the look feels for a themed event. You aren't just grabbing a shirt. You're getting a coordinated ensemble featuring a hat, top, vest, belt, and pants. For a product in this price range, having all these layers ready to go saves a ton of time on accessorizing. It hits that sweet spot for anyone needing a recognizable, cohesive outfit without having to hunt down individual pieces to complete the character.

Every student preparing for a history book report or a school pageant needs this Abraham Lincoln ensemble to instantly command the room. It is designed for convenience, allowing kids to pair the pieces with their own pants or skirts for a complete look. While it is perfect for storybook parades and Halloween, parents must be careful with sizing. Do not rely on your child's age, as these measurements differ from standard clothing. If you need a cohesive historical theme for a group, Forum also offers matching sets for figures like George Washington and Benjamin Franklin.

This Desperado outfit from Forum Novelties delivers a classic Western look that feels much more substantial than a flimsy sheet cape. The set centers around a sturdy brown coat and a matching cowboy hat, providing an immediate sense of character for Halloween or school stage performances. Sizing is specific here. The large fits children between 54 and 60 inches tall, up to 100 pounds, so checking measurements is key to avoiding a baggy fit. While you'll need to source extra props separately to complete the full outlaw aesthetic, the core ensemble provides a solid foundation for any young adventurer looking to play dress-up.
