Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers about Cotton Kids Duvet Cover Sets before you buy.
Percale is often the best choice for kids because it is crisp, breathable, and stays cool during sleep. For a softer, more luxurious feel that gets better with every wash, look for long-staple cotton sateen.
Look for sets labeled OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified. This ensures the fabric has been tested for harmful substances and is safe for sensitive skin.
Not necessarily. Pure cotton is highly durable and machine washable. To prevent excessive wrinkling, tumble dry on low heat and remove them while slightly damp.
100% cotton offers maximum breathability and natural temperature regulation. Cotton blends (often mixed with polyester) are more wrinkle-resistant and budget-friendly but can trap more heat.
For children, a thread count between 200 and 400 is the sweet spot. Anything higher is often unnecessary for kids and can actually make the fabric less breathable.
Natural cotton is prone to some shrinkage. To minimize this, always wash in cool or lukewarm water and avoid high-heat drying cycles.
Always check the dimensions of the duvet insert before buying the cover. A cover that is too large will bunch up, while one that is too small will leave the edges of the insert exposed.
