Best Lego Luggage Sets in 2026

The LEGO Creator Expert Winter Village Station is a masterclass in seasonal storytelling, centered around an incredibly detailed snowy train station. This set captures the magic of a holiday commute, featuring a charming clock tower, a cozy coffee shop, and a functional ticket counter. I was particularly impressed by the level of playability tucked into the festive bus. It has a removable roof so you can actually see the interior, complete with tiny gift-wrapped packages and luggage. With five distinct minifigures—including a barista and a grandmother—the scene feels alive rather than static. Spanning roughly 11 inches wide, it serves as a substantial, festive centerpiece that balances intricate architectural details like the grade crossing with genuine charm.

Watching a toddler mimic the chaos of a terminal becomes much more manageable when they have a dedicated space to play. This LEGO DUPLO Town Airport set turns living room floors into a miniature travel hub, complete with a revolving air traffic control tower and a boarding gate. The 29-piece kit is perfectly scaled for small hands, featuring a buildable airplane and a clever luggage slide that keeps kids engaged through tactile role-play. It is an ideal way to introduce the concept of travel through modern characters and decorated bricks before a family vacation. At over 8 inches high, the airport structure provides a substantial presence for a preschool toy without being overwhelming for a two-to-five-year-old's play area.

After weeks of use, the sheer scale of this airport playset remains its most impressive attribute. This 694-piece kit transforms a playroom floor into a fully operational aviation hub, anchored by a massive terminal building that stands over 11 inches high. I was particularly struck by the mechanical details, such as the moving conveyor belt for luggage and the functional revolving doors. The set provides an incredible amount of variety, ranging from a detailed passenger airplane with an interior galley and bathroom to essential ground support like the fuel trailer and mobile stairway. With six distinct minifigures and a massive airplane that stretches nearly 19 inches long, the storytelling potential for young builders is virtually endless.

The LEGO Friends Heartlake Private Jet is a masterclass in immersive roleplay storytelling. This set moves far beyond a simple aircraft build by including a full travel experience, from the check-in desk with its functional luggage scanner to the cozy, exclusive seating area inside the jet. I found the playability particularly impressive because the jet opens up completely, allowing kids to easily access the interior details like the laptop, drinks, and even a tiny tray. Whether Olivia is navigating the security checkpoint or relaxing mid-flight with a flower and a snack, the sheer amount of accessory elements keeps the imaginative momentum going. It is a substantial, high-detail kit that transforms a standard building session into a complete vacation adventure.

Young engineers who crave mechanical movement over static models will find this aviation set absolutely indispensable for their collection. Unlike basic builds, this kit prioritizes interactive play through clever engineering like the propeller feathering and a working gear assembly inside the engine compartment. You can actually adjust the propeller pitch or move the tail wheel to watch the blades spin, making the flight experience feel much more authentic. The helicopter is equally impressive, featuring a rotor priming function and a spinning tail rotor that adds genuine kinetic energy to playtime. Whether you are navigating the detailed cockpit of the plane or stowing gear in the speedboat's luggage compartment, the level of mechanical detail across all three vehicles provides endless tactile satisfaction.

Your living room floor transforms into a bustling international terminal the moment you unpack this massive Heart Lake Airport set. The sheer scale of the airplane is the immediate showstopper, stretching a whopping 20 inches long with an opening roof that makes interior roleplay effortless. I was particularly impressed by how much detail is packed into the cabin, from the tiny coffee machine and reclining seats to the functional bathroom with an occupancy indicator. Between the flight attendant's trolley, the luggage compartments, and the detailed airport building, there is a constant stream of micro-actions for kids to manage. It isn't just a plane. It is a complete travel ecosystem featuring Stephanie, pilot David, and flight attendant Sandra.

The LEGO Elves Starlight Inn is a masterclass in micro-detail, centered around a clever turning telescope that hides a secret staircase and key. This 343-piece set transforms a cozy Elvendale resting spot into a genuine treasure hunt for young builders. I was particularly impressed by the functional play elements, like the flame that actually heats a tiny teapot and the drawer tucked neatly under the bed. Between the translucent dragon egg and the detailed tea set, there is so much tactile magic happening in a relatively compact footprint. With Sira Copperbranch and Azari Firedancer included alongside Spark the baby dragon, it feels less like a simple building task and more like stepping directly into an unfolding fantasy adventure.
