Best Relaxed Fit Mens Athletic Shorts in 2026

CTU has delivered a versatile staple that belongs in every active man's summer rotation. These navy blue shorts strike a perfect balance between performance gear and casual lounge wear, thanks to a soft polyester-spandex blend that feels incredibly comfortable against the skin. I found the loose fit and breathable fabric to be ideal for high-movement activities like running or gym sessions, yet the cargo-style design makes them look polished enough for a casual weekend hike. The elastic waistband and drawstring closure ensure a secure, adjustable fit that doesn't dig in during a workout. While they are lightweight enough for intense heat, the solid color and functional pockets make them a reliable go-to for almost any outdoor occasion.

Can a single pair of shorts actually bridge the gap between a heavy gym session and a casual afternoon hike? These CTU athletic shorts aim to do exactly that by blending a loose, breathable fit with a functional cargo design. The 95% polyester and 5% spandex blend feels remarkably soft against the skin, providing enough stretch for movement without feeling restrictive. I found the lightweight fabric to be a massive plus for summer heat, keeping things airy during outdoor activities. Whether you are running errands or hitting the gym, the drawstring elastic waist ensures a secure, comfortable fit. Just make sure you consult the size chart before ordering to ensure you get that perfect loose-fit silhouette for your next adventure.
