After testing its ergonomics, the non-slip texture actually holds up quite well during intense sessions, preventing that annoying slip when your hands start to sweat. The dual vibration motors provide decent immersion, and the integrated 6-axis gyro sensor responds quickly to motion-sensing commands. The Nintendo 2DS delivers a streamlined gaming experience for players who want the full power of a handheld without paying extra for 3D technology they might never use. I found that by stripping away the stereoscopic 3D viewing found in the 3DS and 3DS XL, this blue handheld becomes a more focused, durable option for pure gameplay.
