Best Soft Nursery Pillows in 2026

Faux fur meets firm back support in this A Nice Night wedge, and the combination works better than you'd expect at this price. The backrest stands 18.5 inches tall and 17.7 inches wide, with each arm stretching out 11 inches to cradle your shoulders and neck — enough relief that I stopped shifting around mid-chapter. It's sized for adults but honestly gets passed around the whole family, from bed and couch to floor and dorm. The carry handle is a small detail that turns out to be genuinely useful, since you'll want it in more than one room. Just know there's no zipper, so cleanup means spot cleaning with a damp cloth.

A Nice Night's gray reading pillow earns its place on the bed thanks to a velvety faux fur cover that feels far softer than the price tag suggests. At 17 inches tall and 14 inches wide, the backrest delivers firm support where your lower back wants it, while the 10-inch arms cradle your shoulders and neck through long reading sessions. It's sized for adults but light enough that kids will claim it too. Toss it on the couch, floor, or daybed — the carry handle makes relocating it painless. One caveat worth knowing: there's no zipper, so cleanup means spot cleaning with a damp cloth and detergent instead of a washing machine.

A Nice Night's ivory reading pillow earns its keep the moment you wedge it behind your back. Standing 18.5 inches tall and 17.7 inches wide, it delivers real back support instead of the floppy sag you get from stacked bed pillows, and each arm extends 11 inches to cradle your shoulders and neck. The velvety faux fur cover feels genuinely soft against bare skin, which matters when you're reading or scrolling in a t-shirt. A stitched handle on top makes hauling it from bedroom to couch to dorm room easy. Two things to expect: there's no zipper, so cleaning means spot-treating with a damp cloth and detergent, and it arrives vacuum-packed, needing a day or two to fluff up fully.

Gray faux fur sounds like a gimmick until you lean back into it. A Nice Night's reading pillow stands 18.5 inches tall and 17.7 inches wide, giving you firm back support that holds up through a long chapter, while the 11-inch arms catch your shoulders and neck instead of letting you slump forward. The velvety cover is the real standout — plush against bare skin and warm enough for a chilly bedroom. A carry handle lets you haul it from bed to couch to playroom floor, so it pulls double duty as a lounge cushion. Just know there's no zipper: you spot clean with a damp cloth rather than tossing the cover in the wash.

The A Nice Night Reading Pillow is the kind of thing you don't realize you need until you're propped up against it at 11 p.m. with a book and zero intention of moving. At 18.5 inches tall and 17.7 inches wide, it gives your back real support instead of the slow slide-down-the-headboard routine, and those 11-inch arms wrap around your shoulders and neck to take pressure off the spots that usually ache by morning. The velvety faux fur surface feels genuinely plush — far softer than the stiff backrests you've probably tried. Toss it on the bed, couch, or floor, grab the carry handle, and it follows you around the house.

Plenty of backrest pillows look the part but slump the second you lean into them — this one actually holds its shape. A Nice Night builds it 18.5 inches tall and 17.7 inches wide, with each arm reaching out 11 inches to cradle your shoulders and neck instead of leaving them floating. I propped it against a headboard for a two-hour reading session and my neck never complained. The two pockets are genuinely useful, not decorative: a small side slot for a remote or phone, and a bigger back pocket that swallows a paperback or tablet. The carry handle means it migrates easily from bed to couch to floor, and spot cleaning with a damp cloth keeps it fresh.

A Nice Night's ivory bed wedge turns any headboard-less bed into a proper reading nook. At 18.5 inches tall and 17.7 inches wide, the backrest sits you upright without swallowing the whole mattress, and the 11-inch arms give your shoulders and neck somewhere to land instead of slumping against the wall. I liked that it isn't so bulky that kids and teens can't use it too — it's a family pillow. The two pockets, a small side one and a larger back one, mean your phone, remote, or magazine stays within reach, and the carry handle makes hauling it from bedroom to couch painless. One caveat: there are no zippers, so cleanup means spot cleaning with a damp cloth rather than tossing it in the wash.

Sitting up in bed just got easier, thanks to this ivory wedge pillow from A Nice Night. At 17 inches tall and 14 inches wide, the backrest stays firm against your spine, while each arm reaches out 10 inches to take pressure off your shoulders and neck. It's sized to work for the whole family, from kids to adults, and it travels easily between the bed, couch, and floor thanks to a built-in carry handle. Two pockets are the real win: a small side slot for a remote or phone, and a larger back pocket for a tablet or magazine. Just note there's no zipper, so spot clean with a damp cloth.

Stand all the way up to 18.5" tall and stretch 17.7" across, but those 11" arms are what make it great. They support your shoulders and neck so it's not like they're on their own. Propped up against a headboard, you'll be able to sit up right on any bed or couch or even just a corner of the bare floor. Read, watch TV shows, or work on a laptop. There's a smaller side pocket for the remote or phone, plus a big back pocket that can fit your magazines or a tablet. Carry handle makes it easy to move from room to room. No zipper so you'll be spot cleaning with a damp cloth. A Nice Night bed wedge

The purple bed wedge from A Nice Night is a reading pillow the way it ought to be: an upright position, that doesn't slowly fall backward like many others do. Not only does the 18.5" height and 17.7" width actually provide support to your back, but the arms extend 11" to secure your shoulders and neck (the weak point for flimsy backrests). And with two pockets (a small one on the side, perfect for a remote/cellphone and a larger one in the back for your magazines/tablet), you won't have to get up once you're finally comfortable. It has a carry handle for easy movement from bedroom to couch to playroom. And for freshening up with no zipper, you can spot-clean with a damp cloth. It's a great upgrade for the whole family!

Bright, light green, 17" tall, this bed wedge from A Nice Night is a back rest, a book buddy, a couch mate that won't dominate the space. Arms flare out 10" to support your shoulders, where most sitting pillows miss the mark. Believe me, you'll feel it after a long read. Front pocket for your remote, back pocket for a tablet or mag, and grab and go handle makes it easy to transfer from bed to floor to dorm, with nary a struggle. Spot cleaning only. Keep that damp cloth handy.

Most backrests do not do a good job of keeping you upright. Not so with A Nice Night's purple bed wedge. The 17" back is rigid while the 10" arms support your shoulders and neck, the weak points of soft loungers. Tried it up against a headboard for an extended reading session. Didn't slide down. Didn't have to constantly reposition. The 2 pockets are nice. The smaller side pocket for a remote or phone. A larger pocket on the back for magazines or tablet. The handle makes it easy to move between bed and couch. Use a wet cloth with detergent to keep it clean. Kids, teens, and adults. Easy win for a single pillow.
