Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers about Stenes Phone Cases before you buy.
Polycarbonate (hard plastic) combined with TPU (shock-absorbing rubber) offers the best drop protection. Look for cases with air-cushioned corners and raised lips around the screen and camera.
Most cases under 3mm thick work with wireless charging. Avoid cases with metal plates or magnets (unless MagSafe-compatible) and very thick rugged cases, which can block the charging signal.
Choose a slim case if you prioritize pocketability and minimal bulk. Choose a rugged case if you frequently drop your phone or work in harsh environments. Some cases blend both with reinforced corners but a slim profile.
Yes, clear TPU cases often yellow due to UV exposure and skin oils. To minimize yellowing, look for cases with anti-yellowing coatings or made from polycarbonate, which resists discoloration better than TPU.
Wallet cases add convenience by holding cards and cash, but they can become bulky and may interfere with wireless charging. They also offer less drop protection than dedicated rugged cases. Consider a wallet case only if you need to carry essentials.
Always check the case's compatibility list for your exact phone model. Cases are made to precise dimensions, so a case for a similar model won't fit properly. Look for cutouts that align with buttons and ports.
Look for military drop-test certification (MIL-STD-810G), reinforced corners, raised bezels around the screen and camera, and a grippy texture. Materials like TPU and polycarbonate absorb and disperse impact energy.
Remove the case and wipe it with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid harsh chemicals or alcohol, which can damage coatings. For silicone cases, use a lint roller to remove dust. Let the case dry completely before reattaching.
Yes, most cases do not cover the screen, so a screen protector is still recommended. Some cases come with a built-in screen protector, but these can reduce touch sensitivity. A separate tempered glass protector offers better clarity and protection.
Higher-priced cases often use better materials, more precise construction, and offer superior drop protection or features like MagSafe. However, many mid-range cases provide excellent protection at a lower cost. Focus on certifications and materials rather than brand name.
