Best Chunhee Security Horns in 2026

Navigating a crowded marina or a busy waterway requires a signal that cuts through the engine noise without draining your battery. I put this Marinco electronic horn to the test, and its 107 dB(A) output at one meter delivers a piercing, reliable presence. The piezo technology provides a consistent fundamental frequency of 550 Hz, ensuring your warning is unmistakable. Installation is surprisingly straightforward since it fits a standard 2-1/4 inch opening and includes the necessary mounting screws. I was particularly impressed by the power efficiency. It draws less than one amp, peaking at just 0.8 amps, which is a massive win for sensitive marine electrical systems. The included white grill offers a clean, integrated look that complements most boat consoles perfectly.

You get a decent amount of customization through five distinct sound modes, ranging from a friendly 'Hello Welcome' to a piercing alarm, and the included remote is a lifesaver since it works from up to 300 feet away. While the solar charging is efficient, just keep in mind you'll want to give it a full initial charge to ensure it's ready for duty in any weather.

You can toggle between four distinct modes—ranging from 24-hour high-frequency alerts to night-only modes—using the remote. Even with heavy rain, the IP65 waterproof rating keeps it running, and the dual charging options mean you can top it up via DC if the sun isn't cooperating.
