Best Merryheart Stacking Toys in 2026

After weeks of use in a busy preschool environment, the MERRYHEART rainbow peg doll set has proven to be an absolute staple for imaginative play. These twelve wooden figures are sized perfectly at roughly 1.5 by 2.5 inches, making them easy for tiny hands to grasp and maneuver through the included rainbow tunnels and bridges. What makes this set stand out is how it transitions from simple color recognition and counting exercises into complex pretend play scenarios. The natural wood construction feels substantial, and the water-based paint provides a smooth, burr-free finish that feels safe for toddlers. Whether they are stacking the semicircles or guiding the little people through a rainbow castle, the open-ended nature of these toys keeps kids engaged far longer than standard plastic alternatives.

Unlike many colorful plastic alternatives, these arches showcase a beautiful, authentic grain that feels premium in a child's hands. Since it is CPSIA certified and ASTM tested, you can feel confident letting toddlers explore these smooth, solid wood pieces.

Math doesn't have to feel like a chore when you can actually touch the numbers. The MERRYHEART multiplication board turns abstract equations into a tactile, colorful experience that keeps kids engaged far longer than a standard worksheet. I was particularly impressed by the thoughtful double-sided design. Having the multiplication table on one side and the 1-100 number sequence on the back allows children to self-verify their work instantly. The set includes 100 natural wood blocks in ten different colors, which helps prevent eye fatigue while doubling as building blocks for creative play. Since it is crafted from non-toxic water-based paint and is CPSIA certified, you can feel confident letting little hands explore the smooth, burr-free surfaces without worry.

A quiet afternoon on the living room rug transforms into a miniature construction site as a toddler begins stacking these vibrant wooden rectangles into a sprawling, colorful cityscape. The MERRYHEART rainbow set moves far beyond basic stacking. It functions as a versatile toolkit for architectural imagination, allowing kids to engineer everything from spiral staircases to whimsical dollhouses. Because the pieces emphasize natural wood grain and tactile textures, they engage a child's sensory perception much more deeply than standard plastic alternatives. Interestingly, the aesthetic appeal is sophisticated enough that it doubles as a calming decorative piece for adults, offering a moment of tactile relaxation. It is a rare toy that bridges the gap between early developmental play and sculptural art.
