Best Mattel Toy Vehicle Playsets in 2026

Action figure collectors often struggle to find cinematic-accurate accessories that actually integrate with their existing character lineups. This Mattel Lightyear Plasma Drill solves that gap by providing a highly detailed, 5-inch scale centerpiece that feels like a genuine piece of the movie's universe. I found the tripod base and controller seat surprisingly sturdy, making it easy to seat various figures from the ragtag team during play. The inclusion of a removable blaster with three projectiles adds a much-needed layer of interactive combat, while the liftable chassis provides a mechanical depth that cheaper toys often lack. Whether you are staging a high-stakes mining mission or building a dramatic display shelf, this vehicle serves as a functional and visually striking anchor for any space exploration collection.

The Hot Wheels Stunt & Splash Car Wash Playset turns a standard car wash into a high-octane color-changing spectacle. This set is a blast because it uses a kid-controlled hot and cold waterfall to actually transform the color of the included Color Shifter car. Watching the cars ride the elevator up, only to spin down the track after a quick scrub with the moveable foam roller and pretend vacuum, keeps the action moving constantly. It is designed with a built-in base container to catch water, which makes the whole experience much more manageable for indoor play. Since it connects to other Hot Wheels City sets, you can easily expand the play area as your collection grows.

Young space explorers craving high-octane storytelling need this Mattel Lightyear Hyperspeed Series set to truly bring the Disney Pixar universe to life. This collection is a massive win for playability because it pairs two rugged, all-terrain trucks with three detailed character figures, ensuring there is always a pilot ready for a mission. The vehicles range from 3 to 6 inches and feature rolling wheels that make push-along play feel incredibly smooth. I love how the designs mirror the actual ground transports from the movie, offering authentic cargo space and passenger seating for extra figures. It is a complete, ready-to-go adventure kit that turns a bedroom floor into a cinematic battlefield of teamwork and exploration.

The Mattel Lightyear Hyperspeed Series Buzz Lightyear Truck brings the high-stakes teamwork of the Disney Pixar film straight to your living room floor. This set is a standout because it pairs an authentically detailed ground transport vehicle with two essential figures, Buzz and Izzy, right out of the box. The truck itself is impressively scaled between 3 and 6 inches, featuring rolling wheels that make push-along play feel smooth and natural. I love how the design includes dedicated space for cargo or extra passengers, allowing kids to expand their space exploration storylines easily. It is a compact, highly detailed piece of movie-inspired gear that captures the essence of the Lightyear origin story perfectly for young space enthusiasts.

Die-hard Disney Cars collectors and kids with high-octane imaginations need this massive Mattel playset to turn their living room floor into Radiator Springs. This isn't just a single vehicle. The 24 Mack Truck serves as a massive, talking command center that pops open to reveal three distinct play environments. The real magic happens when you engage the three-position car launcher, sending the included Lightning McQueen vehicle hurtling into various action features. It is a complete storytelling ecosystem that allows young fans to reenact iconic cinematic moments or invent entirely new racing adventures. The sheer scale of the transformation from a single truck to a multi-zone playset makes it a standout centerpiece for any Cars-themed toy collection.

Bath time usually feels like a chore for toddlers, but this track set turns the tub into a high-octane racing arena. Most bath toys are static, yet the Mattel Cars World Grand Prix Splash Speedway allows kids to actually build and reconfigure their own courses using different track lengths and shapes. It is a clever way to bridge the gap between movie fandom and active play, letting little ones reenact intense scenes from the Disney/Pixar Cars franchise while they soak. The inclusion of a dedicated Bath Racer vehicle means you can start racing immediately without hunting for extra accessories. It effectively transforms a standard hygiene routine into an immersive, customizable adventure that keeps kids engaged long after the water stops splashing.
