Best Xs Womens Fitness Compression Shorts in 2026

NELEUS Women's High Waisted Yoga Shorts deliver an impressive amount of utility through their dual-sided phone pockets. During testing, the moisture-wicking and breathable fabric felt incredibly supportive without being see-through, providing total coverage during high-intensity movements. The high waistband is a standout, featuring a smooth, casing-free design that offers gentle tummy compression without digging in. I particularly appreciated the gusseted crotch, which allows for a full range of motion and even makes them reliable as anti-chafing layers under skirts. Just a heads-up on the fit: these run slightly larger than standard athletic wear, so I recommend checking the specific size chart or sizing up if you want that perfect, snug compression feel.

It is easy to assume that a sub-ten-dollar pair of gym shorts will inevitably slide down or turn sheer during a squat, but the ZOOSIXX booty dance shorts actually deliver on their performance promises. The buttery soft, four-way stretch fabric feels incredibly natural against the skin, providing a 'naked feeling' that doesn't sacrifice compression. I was particularly impressed by the 3.5-inch wide waistband, which stays securely in place over the navel for effective tummy control without rolling up mid-movement. The 2-inch inseam is specifically designed to lift the hips and elongate the legs, creating a flattering, athletic silhouette. Whether you are hitting a heavy yoga session or just lounging, these shorts transition effortlessly from intense workouts to casual street style.

You are halfway through a high-intensity squat session when you realize your gym gear isn't riding up or turning sheer. These ZOOSIXX booty dance shorts are engineered with a 2-inch inseam and a specific booty cut designed to lift the hips and elongate your legs for a striking silhouette. The buttery soft, naked-feeling fabric provides a 4-way stretch that handles deep squats without becoming see-through, which is a massive win for confidence in the studio. I love the 3.5-inch wide elastic waistband because it stays secure around the navel for effective tummy control. Whether you are layering them under a dress for extra coverage or pairing them with a sports bra for a cycling session, they transition seamlessly from heavy lifting to casual street style.

Serious distance runners and gym enthusiasts need these shorts to solve the eternal struggle of carrying gear without the bounce. FlipBelt has engineered a powerhouse piece of apparel that combines high-performance compression with an incredibly smart storage system. The fabric is noticeably thicker and more durable than your average thin running shorts, providing excellent muscle stability and blood flow during intense training. What truly sets them apart is the integrated waistband that offers 360-degree storage, complemented by deep 7-inch side pockets and a secure zippered back pocket for your essentials. Whether you are biking or hitting a dance class, the moisture-wicking spandex blend ensures you stay dry and comfortable without feeling overly restrictive.

Most activewear forces you to choose between restrictive compression and flimsy, non-functional fabrics, but these flowy running shorts bridge that gap perfectly. I love how the wide-leg design offers a breezy, casual feel for the beach while the elastic waist provides enough security for an actual workout. The quick-dry material makes them a lifesaver during humid summer runs or long days spent poolside. They strike that rare balance of being lightweight enough for lounging yet durable enough for high-intensity movement. Whether you are hitting the gym or just running errands, the silhouette feels intentional and stylish rather than just another piece of basic athletic gear.

The soft touch of 100% cotton against your skin makes these HUCHPI high-rise shorts an instant favorite for long summer days. Whether you are looking for something breezy for a casual stroll or a comfortable pair of wide-leg trousers for lounging, the lightweight fabric provides a relaxed, flowy feel that avoids the restriction of tighter athletic gear. These shorts transition effortlessly from a morning yoga session to a casual afternoon outing thanks to the versatile pull-on design. I particularly like how the high-waisted cut offers a flattering silhouette while remaining comfortable enough for postpartum wear or maternity comfort. With practical pockets included, they strike that perfect balance between functional workout wear and trendy, everyday summer staples.

I found the fit to be incredibly versatile, offering a comfortable high-waist design that stays secure whether you are running errands or hitting the gym. While the style leans heavily into a relaxed, utility-driven aesthetic with practical pockets, the fabric remains soft enough for all-day wear. They strike that rare balance between heavy-duty winter insulation and the flexible movement required for active lifestyle transitions.
