Best Colorit in 2026

You might assume a massive 96-count set is just a collection of cheap, dried-out markers, but ColorIt actually delivers a surprisingly professional experience. I was impressed by how the 1.0mm fine point tip glides through narrow spaces in adult coloring books without the usual skipping or smearing that plagues lesser glitter pens. The color palette is impressively broad, covering everything from earthy neutrals to vibrant, warm tones that really pop on the page. What sets this apart from standard sets is the sheer longevity. Since every pen comes with its own matching refill cartridge, you aren't left with a drawer full of empty plastic shells once the ink runs dry. It is a versatile kit that works just as well for detailed journaling as it does for heavy-duty coloring.

Serious hobbyists who despise flimsy coloring books will find their sanctuary in this ColorIt mandala collection. Most adult coloring books feel like cheap notebooks, but the combination of sturdy hardback covers and a top-mounted double wire spiral binding changes the entire experience. The lay-flat design is a game changer, allowing you to focus on intricate patterns without fighting the spine. I was particularly impressed by the 24lb bright white bond paper. It handles mixed mediums beautifully without the dreaded bleed-through. Because every page is single-sided and perforated, you can easily tear out your finished masterpiece to frame it without worrying about ruining the next design. Even the inclusion of a free blotter page shows they actually understand the needs of an artist.

Can a simple coloring book actually serve as a high-end escape from daily stress? The ColorIt Colorful Unicorns collection, featuring illustrations by Terbit Basuki, feels more like an art portfolio than a standard activity book. I was immediately impressed by the double spiral binding, which allows the book to lay perfectly flat regardless of whether you are left or right-handed. The 50 hand-drawn images of unicorns, fairies, and mermaids feature bold, sharp lines that make staying within the boundaries effortless. Because the paper is thick, acid-free, and smooth, you can switch between colored pencils and markers without worrying about the surface texture. It is a premium, tactile experience that makes the creative process feel truly professional.

You might wonder if another adult coloring book can actually deliver more than just a temporary distraction, but ColorIt’s second volume makes a compelling case for itself. This isn't just a collection of patterns. It is a curated experience featuring 50 original designs by Hasby Mubarok that pair motivational quotes with intricate art. The build quality is what really sets it apart from cheaper alternatives. The spiral binding allows the book to lay completely flat, which is a game-changer for precision work, and the 175 GSM paper is thick enough to handle everything from colored pencils to gel pens. They even include an ink blotter to keep your masterpieces clean. It feels less like a hobbyist kit and more like a premium, intentional tool for stress relief and creativity.

Rain settles against the window while you settle into your favorite armchair, pen in hand, ready to lose yourself in a world of sacred geometry. This seventh volume in the ColorIt series feels less like a hobby book and more like a curated cultural tour. Terib Basuki’s illustrations span the globe, moving from intricate Celtic knots to vibrant Aztec and Hindu patterns. The spiral binding is a total game-changer for my coloring sessions because it lays completely flat, making it just as easy for lefties as it is for righties. I especially appreciated the artist-quality paper and the included ink blotter, which prevented my markers from bleeding through to the next design. Since the pages are perforated, you can easily tear out your finished masterpiece to frame or gift to a friend.

The ColorIt Modern Art Adult Coloring Book transforms fine art history into a tactile, hands-on creative escape. Instead of just looking at masterpieces, you actually get to reimagine the styles of legends like Van Gogh, Picasso, and Monet through fifty intricate designs by Terbit Basuki. What really sets this apart from flimsy hobby books is the professional-grade construction. The 175 GSM paper is impressively thick and handles markers or gel pens without much fuss. I love that the spiral binding allows the book to lay completely flat, making it much easier to reach every corner of the page. Plus, including ink blotter paper shows they actually understand the needs of serious colorists who want to prevent bleed-through while they work.

Most massive art sets feel like a cluttered mess of mediocre tools, but the ColorIt collection actually feels like a curated toolkit for serious hobbyists. I was struck by how the 1.0mm fine point tip manages to stay incredibly precise without the annoying skipping or smearing that usually plagues glitter ink.
