Most guitarists assume that more tension always equals better tone, but the real magic for jazz lies in the specific weight of the string. These Electrozinc Jazz 13-56 sets are built for players who need that elusive balance between melodic clarity and rhythmic punch. By pairing a 56 low-E with a wound G-string, D'Angelico delivers a thick lead sound that doesn't sacrifice the strong bass needed for effective comping. It is a fascinating revival of a legacy, as these strings represent a renewed engineering partnership between the legendary D'Angelico brand and the technical expertise of D'Addario. Whether you are playing intricate lines or driving a rhythm section, these strings provide the specialized texture that standard sets often lack.
