Best Haba in 2026

HABA First Orchard is a masterclass in cooperative play that turns a simple fruit harvest into a high-stakes team mission. Instead of competing against one another, toddlers work together to gather colorful wooden fruit before a hungry raven reaches the orchard. It is a brilliant way to introduce concepts like color recognition and counting by ones without the frustration of direct competition. The chunky wooden components, including the apples, pears, and plums, are perfectly sized for small hands to manipulate. Because everyone wins or loses as a single unit, it provides a gentle, repetitive way for two-year-olds to navigate the emotions of gaming. It is a foundational toy that builds social skills through shared goals.

Can a simple magnetic wand actually turn a car ride into a high-level brain workout? The HABA Town Maze proves it can by transforming a colorful cityscape into a challenging STEM mission. Instead of just pushing buttons, toddlers use a magnetic wand to guide colored balls through a complex network of roads toward their matching garages. It is incredibly satisfying to watch a child navigate around blocked pathways, a process that builds genuine concentration and strategic thinking. Because the 10" x 8.75" board is self-contained, it serves as a perfect, mess-free companion for road trips or quiet time. You are essentially getting a multi-tool for development that tackles color recognition, counting, and fine motor dexterity all at once.

A tiny hand reaches out during a quiet afternoon nap, grasping for the soft, textured hair of Mirli. This 8-inch companion is specifically engineered for the developmental stage of babies aged six months and up, offering a tactile experience that feels substantial thanks to her weighted bean bag bottom. I love how her features are embroidered rather than using plastic parts, making her safe for even the littlest explorers. Her bright red cotton hair is stretchy and fun to touch, while the hook and loop fastener on her dress makes it easy for toddlers to practice their fine motor skills. Whether she is sitting upright on a nursery shelf or being tossed into a machine wash on a cold cycle, Mirli remains a durable, charming constant in a growing child's playroom.

Lilli-Lou is a burst of color defined by her flamboyant pink chenille pigtails and charming embroidered face. This 12-inch companion strikes a perfect balance between a sturdy playmate and a cozy cuddle buddy, thanks to her quilted body and beanbag bottom that allows her to sit upright on their own. While her orange T-shirt and pink striped leggings are permanent fixtures, the removable vest and skirt add a layer of interactive play for little hands. She is built to endure the rigors of toddler life, yet she remains gentle enough for naptime. Best of all, the machine-washable fabric makes cleaning up after messy play sessions incredibly easy for parents. She is a stylish, durable keepsake that fits perfectly into a growing collection of doll accessories.

HABA Karuba stands as a premier choice for families seeking a high-stakes strategy game that bridges the gap between simple mechanics and deep tactical thinking. You and your fellow adventurers land on a mysterious island with one mission: navigate the dense jungle to reach ancient temples before anyone else. The core gameplay revolves around laying tiles on a grid to build winding paths, creating a fast-paced race where speed directly correlates to your final score. Because the tile layout shifts every time you play, the replayability is immense. It is a beautifully illustrated experience that keeps players aged eight to ninety-nine engaged through constant decision-making and competitive tension. Whether you are hunting for gold nuggets or crystals, the race for the loot never feels repetitive.

Finding a toddler toy that balances gentle snuggling with the durability required for rough-and-tumble play is a constant struggle for parents. The HABA Coco doll solves this by pairing a soft, huggable body with a sturdy construction designed for children aged 18 months and up. She features a charming embroidered face with rosy cheeks and freckles, making her look sweet without the risk of losing small plastic parts. The 12-inch frame is perfectly sized for small hands, and the beanbag bottom is a clever touch that allows her to sit upright during playtime. I particularly like that her floral green dress uses a simple hook and loop fastener, allowing little ones to practice dressing her easily. Plus, the ability to machine wash her on a cold cycle is a lifesaver for keeping her clean.

HABA Snug-up Dolly Luisa is a masterclass in safety-first design for newborn companions. At just 8 inches, this ultra-soft doll is specifically engineered for the tiniest hands, featuring printed facial details instead of plastic parts to ensure it is completely safe for infants. The fleece plush pajamas and matching hat add a layer of tactile comfort that makes her an ideal security object for soothing toddlers. Beyond the cuddly factor, Luisa serves as a vital tool for social and emotional development through early pretend play. Best of all, parents won't have to worry about inevitable messes because she is fully machine washable. It is a thoughtful, high-quality introduction to companionship that grows alongside your child.

Naptime transitions become significantly smoother when a toddler has a soft, reliable companion like Roya to hold close. This 10-inch doll is specifically designed for those high-need moments where a child seeks comfort and security. I love that her red pigtails are built-in, which saves parents from the constant headache of untangling messy synthetic hair. Her sweet embroidered face, complete with green eyes and freckles, gives her a personality that feels permanent and durable rather than fragile. The pink dress is easy for little hands to manage thanks to the hook and loop fastener, and since the shoes are sewn on, you never have to worry about losing them under the couch. Best of all, when playtime gets messy, you can just toss her in a cold wash cycle.

Most parents assume a first doll needs complex features to be engaging, but Luis proves that simplicity is actually a safety superpower. Because his facial features are printed directly onto the fabric rather than using plastic buttons or beads, there is zero risk of choking hazards for newborns. This 8-inch companion is incredibly soft, making it an ideal security object for babies and toddlers navigating their early years. The light blue pajamas, bandana, and cap are sewn securely into the design, ensuring everything stays put during heavy play. It is a thoughtful tool for fostering emotional development and pretend play, and the fact that you can toss him in the washing machine (just air dry him!) makes him practical for the inevitable messes of childhood.

Most people assume tiny dolls are just static figurines, but Naomi proves that poseability is the real secret to immersive play. This 4-inch African American character brings a sense of life to a playroom thanks to the internal metal wires that allow her to bend and move into various positions. She is dressed in a charming layered flower dress and sports adorable dark pigtails, making her a visually striking addition to any miniature scene. Because she is built from flexible, soft plastic, she can withstand the rigors of active play while remaining completely BPA and phthalate-free. Whether she is sitting on HABA furniture or interacting with other Little Friends accessories, her ability to hold a pose makes her feel much more dynamic than a standard rigid toy.

Aspiring paleontologists need this dinosaur head shovel in their sandbox immediately to turn a standard afternoon into a high-stakes fossil hunt. Unlike traditional flat shovels that feel tedious, this unique glove-style digger turns the act of scooping sand into an immersive role-playing experience. You can use the dinosaur head to scoop up earth or even bury the toy itself to create a rewarding scavenger hunt for your little one. It is a brilliant way to encourage outdoor activity and fine motor skills while keeping kids engaged for hours. Knowing it meets strict European and U.S. safety standards without harmful phthalates provides that extra peace of mind every parent craves during messy playtime.

Aspiring little chefs who live for dramatic role-play will find this HABA Biofino set an absolute essential for their play kitchens. Instead of hard plastic that clatters, these soft plush cones offer a tactile, cozy way to serve up imaginary treats. The real magic lies in the two reversible scoops, which instantly transform your menu from vanilla chocolate chip to strawberry or butter pecan. I love the thoughtful embroidered details, especially the tiny sewn-on bead that acts as a cherry on top. At six inches tall once assembled, they are the perfect scale for small hands to master the art of the Italian gelateria. Plus, the fact that they are machine washable makes them a practical choice for parents dealing with the inevitable mess of pretend play.

This 12-inch companion is built for the reality of toddlerhood, featuring a sturdy, quilted body and a beanbag bottom that allows her to sit upright during tea parties or naptime. She arrives dressed in adorable red polka dot overalls and a striped shirt, but the removable outfit opens up a world of play since she is compatible with other HABA 12-inch accessories. While her embroidered face and rosy cheeks make her incredibly sweet for cuddling, her construction is tough enough for kids 18 months and up. Best of all, when playtime gets messy, you can simply toss her in a cold machine wash to keep her looking fresh.

Most toddler toys are destined for the bottom of a toy box, but Hedda is built to be a permanent companion. While many soft dolls feel flimsy, HABA has engineered this 12-inch friend with a sturdy soft body and a beanbag bottom that actually allows her to sit upright on their own. She features a charming embroidered face with rosy cheeks and freckles, avoiding the safety concerns of plastic eyes. The outfit—a floral green vest and grey skirt—uses simple hook and loop fasteners, making it perfect for developing fine motor skills. Whether she is being hugged during naptime or handled roughly during playtime, she holds up beautifully. The vibrant pink polka-dot dress and bright red hair of Mom Katrin immediately catch the eye, making her a standout character in any miniature setting. At 4.5 inches tall, she naturally commands attention as the matriarch of the Little Friends family, standing a head taller than the children. What makes her truly functional for role-play is the flexible soft plastic construction. Internal metal wires allow you to pose her arms and legs, though she won't bend at the waist or neck. Whether she is pretending to cook in a tiny kitchen or watching her kids at a ballet recital, her durability is impressive. She is easy to clean and built to withstand everything from sandbox adventures to poolside play, making her a sturdy addition to a 1/12 scale dollhouse.

Can a simple piece of fabric actually transform a standard classroom lesson into a theatrical event? The HABA Eat It Up Dragon does exactly that by turning learning into a game of disappearance. This isn't just a standard plush toy. It features a clever built-in belly bag that lets the dragon 'swallow' small objects, making it a massive hit for educators using it to teach letters and numbers. The puppet's independently moving eyes add a layer of lifelike engagement that keeps kids mesmerized. While mastering the controls takes a moment of practice—you'll need to use your index and pinkie fingers for the eyes while the rest handle the mouth—the payoff is a highly expressive character. At nearly 16 inches tall and machine washable, it is a durable, high-engagement tool for any playroom or classroom.

Your little one is lying on their play blanket, eyes wide, as they reach upward to bat at a charming beech wood frog dangling from the discovery bar. This HABA activity center turns tummy time into an acoustic adventure, especially when babies roll to their sides to trigger the cheerful click-clack of the sliding wooden disks along the base. The design is remarkably thoughtful, featuring a simple screw mechanism that lets you adjust the bar height in seconds to transition from floor play to infant seat engagement. Crafted from sturdy birch plywood and beech wood, this German-designed gym offers a tactile, sensory experience that feels much more premium than standard plastic alternatives. It even leaves plenty of extra space on the bar if you want to customize the experience with more hanging elements.

The HABA Nursery Room Wooden Mobile Rainbow Balls turn any nursery into a mesmerizing, colorful sanctuary with a single gentle spin. I was immediately struck by the thoughtful engineering. The wooden rods act as balancing weights, ensuring the 14" x 14" structure remains stable while the balls shimmer. A tiny nudge from a parent sends it rotating for a solid 10 to 15 minutes, providing excellent visual stimulation for newborns. Crafted in Germany from sustainable beech wood and finished with non-toxic, water-based stains, it feels incredibly safe and high-quality. Whether you hang it over a bassinet or a changing table, the way the colors dance is genuinely captivating. Just remember to grab a standard cup hook, as you'll want to use the included fishing wire to secure it to the ceiling for the best effect.

A long car ride or a quiet afternoon at a restaurant becomes much more manageable when you have this HABA Number Maze tucked into a diaper bag. I love how the magnetic wand allows toddlers to navigate colorful balls through a lime plywood maze without the frustration of losing tiny pieces, thanks to the thick clear plastic enclosure. It turns basic math into a tactile adventure where kids can match five white balls to chicken eggs in a nest, helping them grasp numbers 1 through 5 naturally. The design is incredibly thoughtful. Even the magnetic pen has a dedicated storage slot on the side so it doesn't get lost in the bottom of a toy box. It is a sturdy, portable way to build fine motor skills and concentration through play.

Can a simple hand puppet actually spark hours of imaginative role-play? Theo the Raven proves that the answer is a resounding yes. This isn't just a static plush. The standout feature is the hinged beak that opens wide, allowing Theo to 'eat' the included red fabric cherries or even playfully grab a child's nose during playtime. Because he is crafted from incredibly soft materials, he transitions effortlessly from an interactive storytelling tool to a comforting cuddle buddy for younger children. Whether he is performing a cheeky puppet show or acting as a soothing companion during nap time, Theo offers a tactile, engaging experience that encourages early social development through play.

The tactile satisfaction of stacking chunky unicorn figures and shimmering crystals is immediately apparent the moment you open the box. This cooperative gem-collecting game masterfully blends the stacking tension of Animal Upon Animal with the movement mechanics of Unicorn Glitterluck. You and your fellow players work as a team to transport ten crystals and five unicorns into the cloud kingdom before the dreaded thunderstorms arrive. It is surprisingly challenging. A single slip of the hand can send pieces tumbling back to the stockpile and force you to flip a cloud tile. While the 15-minute playtime makes it perfect for quick rounds, the high-stakes race against the weather provides enough suspense to keep both young children and adults fully engaged in the mission.

Parents seeking a durable, non-plastic heirloom for their growing infant will find the HABA Whirlygig to be an essential addition to the nursery.
