Most athletes settle for gear that slips or loses its shape mid-session, but the Ovation Metallic Schooler is built to stay exactly where you put it. Testing this fuchsia model felt like a significant upgrade over standard sports accessories, primarily due to that specialized rubberized finish that provides a much more secure grip. The standout feature for me is the easy adjust dial. It allows you to fine-tune the tension instantly for a truly snug fit without fumbling with straps. Owning a round-back Ovation means you can't just throw any standard hard shell case on it and expect a secure fit. This molded case is a specialized necessity for players who refuse to let their unique instrument rattle around in an oversized coffin. I found the shock-absorbing structure to be incredibly reassuring, providing a rigid defense that feels much more substantial than a basic gig bag. Inside, the plush lining cradles the body perfectly, while the heavy-duty hinges and drawbar latches offer that professional, tactile snap you want when securing your gear for travel. It is a purpose-built solution that prioritizes the specific geometry of super shallow guitars, ensuring your investment stays protected from bumps and impacts.

Why settle for a helmet that feels like a heavy, stifling weight on your head during a long lesson? The Ovation Deluxe Schooler solves the common frustrations of heat and discomfort by combining a lightweight, low-profile design with high-flow ventilation. I was particularly impressed by how much value is packed into this kit. You aren't just getting an ASTM-certified helmet, but also a waterproof cover to protect the finish and nine hair nets to manage flyaways.
