Best Platypus in 2026

Navigating the nightmare of threading traditional floss under metal arch wires is the primary hurdle this tool eliminates. Instead of the tedious struggle associated with conventional dental floss, the Platypus flosser uses a patented spatula end that slides directly under your wire to reach between teeth and up into the gums effortlessly. It is a massive time-saver, allowing you to clean your entire mouth in under two minutes, which is a game-changer for maintaining hygiene on the go. The dual-ended design even includes a specialized pick for dislodging stubborn food particles trapped around your brackets. Because it respects the tooth's natural anatomy, you can clean effectively without the constant fear of bending or damaging your orthodontic hardware.

The tedious part of flossing with braces that causes most people to stop flossing is getting floss through the arch wires. With the Platypus Orthodontic Flossers, that's a thing of the past! The spatula tip fits under the arch wire to floss like you normally would in between the brackets, and the opposite end of the flosser is a pick to remove food and plaque near the brackets. No mirror, no threading floss, floss your whole mouth in under 2 minutes! The unique patented design uses the natural shape of your teeth to help guide the floss rather than push the floss through, keeping your wires and brackets safe. Recommended by orthodontists, dentists and hygienists. Proudly made in the USA! Floss every day, 40 and counting! Great for kids and adults alike!

You might wonder if a specialized toothbrush actually makes a difference or if it is just another marketing gimmick, but the Platypus Orthodontic Toothbrush is a legitimate game-changer for anyone navigating life with braces. Unlike standard brushes that struggle to navigate complex hardware, this design utilizes shorter inner bristles to reach deep behind archwires and around brackets where decay typically hides. The outer bristles remain soft to protect your gums, creating a dual-action cleaning experience that feels intuitive rather than cumbersome. I found the silicone grip makes a noticeable difference in control, allowing you to maintain a steady hand while maneuvering around stainless steel or resin appliances. It is a practical, USA-made solution that simplifies a notoriously difficult part of your daily hygiene routine.
