Most golfers assume that a soft-feeling ball means sacrificing distance, but the Callaway Supersoft challenges that exact trade-off. After testing this 2021 version, the standout factor is how the Hybrid Cover—engineered with a specialized PARALOID Impact Modifier—manages to deliver a plush feel without the typical loss of velocity. You get a high launch and low spin on long drives thanks to the High Speed Soft Compression Core, which maximizes energy transfer when you strike it. I was particularly impressed by the HEX Aerodynamics, which helps the ball fight drag to maintain a higher flight and better carry. It is a rare find that balances effortless greenside control with the raw speed needed for distance.

Most golfers assume that a softer ball means sacrificing distance, but the Callaway Supersoft proves that compression and velocity can actually work in harmony. During testing, the ultra-low compression core felt incredibly plush at impact, yet it managed to generate surprising ball speed that kept my drives competitive. The standout feature is the new Low-Drag HEX Aerodynamics, which helps the ball stay airborne longer through enhanced lift. I also found the new Trionomer cover formulation to be a game-changer for short game precision. It offers a dampened, soft feel that provides much-needed greenside control. Whether you are looking for straighter flight paths or just a more tactile connection to the ball, this matte pink option delivers a premium experience without the premium stiffness.

Most golfers assume that chasing extra distance means sacrificing the ability to stop the ball on the green, but the Titleist Pro V1x completely defies that logic. During testing, the most striking aspect was how the ball maintains a penetrating, low-spin trajectory during long drives while still offering that elusive drop-and-stop control when you approach the pin. You get a remarkably consistent flight that doesn't feel flighty or unpredictable in the wind. It is rare to find a ball that handles the power of a long game and the finesse of a short game with such equal proficiency. Whether you are trying to pierce through a gust or stick a delicate wedge shot, the performance feels incredibly dialed in.

The Vice Golf Pro Drip Red & Blue balls deliver an incredible amount of short game spin thanks to their specialized three-piece cast urethane construction. Beyond the technical specs, the newly designed closed alignment line makes aiming much more intuitive during your setup. The striking yellow and black Truvis pattern isn't just for aesthetics. It makes tracking your ball in flight much easier during high-stakes rounds.

Most golfers settle for hard, unresponsive balls that sacrifice control for distance, but the Vice Pro Soft Hue Blue Light changes that equation entirely. I found that the three-piece cast urethane construction provides an incredibly soft feel off the club, which is a game-changer for anyone with a medium or low swing speed. The extra-thin cover is specifically engineered to boost short game spin, giving you much better command around the greens. I also noticed the newly designed closed alignment line makes aiming significantly easier during your pre-shot routine. Because it utilizes a 3-piece cast urethane construction with an extra-thin cover, it provides that elusive high short game spin that advanced players crave. I found that the soft feel off the club makes it much easier to gauge distance, while the newly designed closed alignment line takes the guesswork out of your setup. The Titleist Velocity in Matte Green is engineered specifically for golfers who want to maximize their distance without sacrificing control. During testing, the extremely low long game spin helped drive the ball further, while the high flight trajectory remained consistent across all shots.
