The Primary Arms SLX 1-6x24 SFP Gen III is a high-performance variable magnification riflescope that punches well above its weight class for versatile shooting. This second focal plane optic is built around the incredibly intuitive ACSS reticle, which integrates BDC, wind holds, and range estimation into a single, easy-to-use system tailored for 5.56, 5.45, and .308 calibers. I found the partial red illumination particularly useful. With 11 brightness settings powered by a standard CR2032 battery, you can quickly adapt to changing light conditions. It is a professional-grade tool that makes complex ballistic calculations feel instinctive during a session.

The matte black anodized finish feels substantial and rugged the moment you pick it up. This compact prism scope is a game-changer for anyone prioritizing speed in close-quarters environments. The fixed 2.5x magnification paired with the ACSS CQB reticle allows for incredibly fast target acquisition, making it feel almost intuitive during rapid transitions. I was particularly impressed by the illumination system. With 11 brightness settings powered by a simple CR2032 battery, you can maintain perfect visibility in any lighting condition. You are staring through the glass at a target hundreds of yards away, needing to make a precise holdover adjustment without second-guessing your math. The Primary Arms SLX 4-14x44mm makes that moment much easier thanks to its First Focal Plane reticle, which ensures your MIL-DOT markings remain accurate regardless of how much you zoom in. I found the side-adjustable parallax and fast focus eyepiece to be essential for maintaining a crisp, clear view of the target in varying light. The elevation and windage turrets provide satisfyingly tactile and audible clicks, making 1/10 MIL adjustments feel intentional and precise. Built to handle the elements, this scope feels rugged enough for real-world use, standing up well to shock, water, and fog.

The Primary Arms SLX Microdot is a top-tier choice for shooters prioritizing speed and a compact footprint. Weighing just 6.5 ounces and measuring only 3 inches long, this optic disappears on your rail while providing a surprisingly wide field of view. I was particularly impressed by the versatility of the mounting system. The included risers and spacers allow you to dial in your perfect height from 0.96” up to 1.64”. The ACSS-CQB circle/chevron reticle is incredibly intuitive for quick target acquisition, and the twelve illumination settings ensure you stay visible in both harsh sunlight and night vision environments. While the reticle isn't etched, the 12,000-hour battery life at medium settings provides massive peace of mind for long days at the range.

Long-range precision often becomes prohibitively expensive, but this optic bridges the gap between budget constraints and tactical necessity. I spent some time testing the 4-16x magnification, and the clarity remains impressive for a second focal plane design. The illuminated Mil-Dot reticle is a standout, offering twelve distinct brightness settings so you aren't blinded by glare or left searching for your aim in low light. It feels remarkably rugged, too. The shock-proof, waterproof, and fog-proof construction gives you peace of mind when you're out in unpredictable elements. At this price point, you are getting a reliable tool that handles the rigors of field use without requiring a massive upfront investment.

The Primary Arms Deluxe Extended Scope Mount solves the common headache of tight eye relief by providing massive vertical and horizontal spacing. If you are running a variable power optic on a 1913 Picatinny rail, this mount is a game changer because it lifts the center of your scope tube 1.5 inches above the rail. This height, combined with a generous 2.28 inches of clearance between the rings, gives you the breathing room needed to find a perfect sight picture without awkward head positioning.
