Most crafters settle for flat, uninspired paper cutouts, but the Spellbinders D-Lites Picket Fence Etched Die brings a level of professional texture that standard dies simply cannot match. This wafer-thin template is a true multi-tool for your crafting station, allowing you to cut, emboss, and stencil with a single piece of metal. I found that it handles everything from standard cardstock to delicate metallic foil with impressive precision. Whether you are building a miniature garden scene for a scrapbook layout or adding charm to a handmade tag, the included grass piece complements the fence perfectly. It works seamlessly with most standard die cutting machines, making it an easy addition to your creative toolkit for adding depth to any paper project.

Most crafters assume that the machine itself does all the heavy lifting, but your results actually depend entirely on the quality of your plates. These Spellbinders Platinum XL plates change the game by utilizing high-quality polycarbonate that feels much more substantial than standard alternatives. The clear design is a total lifesaver because it removes the guesswork, letting you see exactly where your media is placed before you start. I especially noticed how the beveled edges make a massive difference during the feeding process. They provide a much better grip for the machine, which prevents those frustrating jams. It makes adding complex layers and dimension to your media mix projects feel surprisingly easy and achievable.

It is equally impressive when you swap in 2D or 3D embossing folders to add depth to your projects. Even better, it integrates seamlessly with the Glimmer Hot Foil System, making it a central hub for high-end, professional-looking paper crafts. It is a reliable, multi-functional tool that genuinely expands your artistic toolkit.

The included self-healing mat provides a stable, protective base for the 7x10.25x.75 inch footprint, making it easy to tuck away in a craft drawer when you aren't using it.
