Best Stohlquist in 2026

Active young paddlers deserve gear that doesn't fight against their every movement, and the Stohlquist FIT delivers exactly that. Unlike bulky, rigid life jackets that chafe or restrict a child's reach, this PFD uses sculpted foam paneling and rounded corners to ensure maximum mobility during kayaking or boating. The thinner back panel is a brilliant touch for kids who sit in high-backed seats, preventing that annoying interference. It is incredibly lightweight at just 1.6 pounds, making it easy for a child to manage, while the durable 200D nylon shell and box-stitched webbing provide the ruggedness needed for open water. It is a Coast Guard approved essential that prioritizes both safety and the freedom to move.

Why settle for bulky, restrictive gear when you can head out on the water with total freedom?
