Best Ubisoft in 2026

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla offers a visceral, expansive Viking odyssey that makes standard open-world games feel remarkably small by comparison. Instead of just following a linear path, you are thrust into the grit of the Dark Ages, leading epic raids against Saxon fortresses and navigating the transition from Norway's harsh shores to the lush kingdoms of England. The combat feels uniquely heavy and rewarding, especially when you're dual-wielding weapons to tackle the most diverse enemy collection the series has ever seen. What truly sets this experience apart is the agency you're given. Every decision you make directly influences your character's growth and the development of your clan's settlement. It is a massive, immersive journey that rewards exploration and strategic planning.

After weeks of use, this title has become our go-to way to turn a living room into a high-energy fitness studio. Ubisoft really leveled up the experience here by adding 40 brand-new tracks, ensuring the playlist stays fresh even during long sessions. What sets this version apart is the Sweat Mode, which turns a casual dance party into a legitimate workout by tracking your calories burned and total active time. You don't even need to hunt for specialized hardware. Just download the controller app on your smartphone and you are ready to go. Between the personalized song suggestions and the ability to jump onto the enhanced World Dance Floor to compete globally, it is an incredibly social and motivating way to stay active.

Most people assume rhythm games are just for kids, but Just Dance 2017 proves that a high-energy dance floor is actually the ultimate icebreaker for any adult social gathering. Ubisoft has packed this edition with a heavy-hitting soundtrack that feels incredibly current, featuring massive hits like Justin Bieber’s “Sorry,” Ariana Grande’s “Into You,” and Sia’s “Cheap Thrills.” It is surprisingly versatile. While it runs on the classic Wii, the experience extends to the Wii U where you can even use a smartphone as a controller via a free app. Whether you are hosting a holiday party or just want to move around the living room, the mix of chart-topping tracks and easy-to-follow choreography makes it a reliable staple for family fun.

The chaotic, crude humor of Trey Parker and Matt Stone leaps off the screen the moment you boot up this sequel. Stepping back into the world of South Park feels incredibly seamless, especially as you transition from the daylight antics of the first game into a much darker, seedy nocturnal landscape. You aren't just playing a character. You are crafting a complete origin story by designing your own costume and refining unique superpowers. The combat introduces a fascinating layer of strategy where manipulating time and space becomes essential to surviving battles. Building your roster by recruiting up to 12 different heroes, including fan favorites like Mysterion and The Coon, makes the RPG progression feel deeply rewarding and genuinely outrageous.

History buffs and stealth enthusiasts demand this specific title to truly experience the peak of Renaissance-era storytelling. Stepping into the shoes of Ezio allows you to navigate a beautifully rendered, dangerous Italy where every rooftop holds a new possibility. The open-world structure is remarkably liberating, letting you tackle missions through pure skill or calculated shadow work. I found the addition of Leonardo da Vinci’s custom weapons to be a game-changer, adding a layer of mechanical depth to the combat that feels both rewarding and period-appropriate. It is a dense, conspiracy-driven epic that rewards players who want to immerse themselves in a world of revenge and high-stakes espionage.

South Park: The Fractured but Whole delivers an unapologetically authentic RPG experience that feels like playing through a lost episode of the show. Ubisoft has successfully captured the chaotic essence of Trey Parker and Matt Stone’s creation, evolving the mechanics from its predecessor into a deep, tactical battlefield where you manipulate time and space. You aren't just playing a game. You are crafting a hero’s origin by designing your own costume and evolving unique superpowers. The gameplay loop gets particularly interesting once the sun sets, allowing you to explore the seedy underbelly of town while recruiting a massive roster of up to 12 heroes, including favorites like Mysterion and The Coon. It is a brilliantly outrageous adventure that rewards players for diving into its ridiculous, high-stakes superhero lore.

Assassin's Creed: The Rebel Collection stands as a definitive maritime essential for any handheld gaming enthusiast. This bundle delivers a massive double-feature by combining the legendary naval combat of Black Flag with the perspective-shifting Templar journey in Rogue. You get to command the Caribbean as a feared pirate before switching roles to hunt assassins, all while enjoying every piece of single-player DLC included. Ubisoft has optimized the experience for the Switch hardware, integrating motion control aiming and HD Rumble to make the high-seas action feel tactile. Whether you are playing in docked mode or utilizing the touch screen interface in handheld mode, the sheer scale of these open worlds feels impressive. It even packs in extra lore through Black Beard’s journal and additional volumes to deepen the immersion.

Finding a way to get the whole family moving without expensive specialized hardware is exactly why Ubisoft released this version of Just Dance. You can turn any living room into a dancefloor immediately because the game uses your smartphone as a controller via a dedicated app, meaning you don't need to hunt for extra Joy-Cons or cameras. The tracklist is impressive, featuring 40 new hits like Disney’s Moana soundtrack, and the new Kids mode is a brilliant touch for younger players since the choreographies were developed with experts to encourage healthy movement. If you want even more variety, the included three-month trial of the Unlimited subscription opens up a massive catalog of over 300 songs, making this a versatile pick for any social gathering.

Ubisoft turned the living room into a legitimate fitness center without requiring a single gym membership. Just Dance isn't just a game. It is a high-energy workout disguised as a massive dance party. I found that the variety is its strongest asset, pulling from the 80s, 90s, Disco, and Rock to keep the momentum from stalling. With over 30 licensed tracks like "You Can't Touch This," you aren't just pressing buttons—you are learning real-life moves to songs you actually recognize. The scrolling lyrics make it easy to sing along, while the four-player party mode ensures that even your least coordinated friends can jump in and play immediately. It is a rare title that manages to burn calories while being genuinely entertaining for everyone in the room.

Can a single game truly capture the brutal, sweeping scale of the Viking Age? Assassin’s Creed Valhalla attempts to do just that, immersing you in a massive open world that stretches from the unforgiving Norwegian coasts to the lush landscapes of England. I found the combat particularly striking. The ability to dual-wield weapons makes every skirmish feel visceral and high-stakes. You aren't just a lone warrior here, as your decisions directly influence the development of your clan's settlement and your character's progression. Facing off against a massive variety of enemies makes the raids against Saxon fortresses feel fresh rather than repetitive. It is a deep, choice-driven experience that rewards exploration and tactical aggression in equal measure.

Board game enthusiasts who crave quick, competitive sessions without the clutter of physical pieces need this digital reimagining of the classic immediately. Ubisoft has successfully translated the Monopoly experience to the Nintendo Switch, offering impressive versatility through its three distinct 3D environments, ranging from a spooky Haunted Town to a vibrant Amusement Park. I particularly enjoyed the ability to toggle between handheld mode for travel and TV mode for family game nights. The inclusion of six official House Rules and the Speed Die mode helps solve the age-old problem of games dragging on too long. With five Special Goals to shorten playtimes and Action Cards to disrupt your opponents' luck, this version feels much more dynamic and strategic than the traditional tabletop version.

The sprawling Montana countryside of Hope County pulls you in immediately with its lush landscapes and untamed wildlife. In this latest installment of the Far Cry series, you are dropped into a high-stakes battle to dismantle the deadly cult led by Joseph Seed. What makes this experience stand out is the sheer level of agency you have. You aren't just following a script, but building your own character and forming strategic alliances to fuel the resistance. As you fight to free the small-town American setting from cultist control, the world reacts to your progress, making the open-world exploration feel genuinely impactful. It is a visceral, intense journey that rewards players who enjoy shaping their own path through chaos.

Neon lights flash across your screen as the beat drops, instantly pulling you into a high-energy dance floor. Ubisoft has really stepped up the variety with this installment, offering over 40 new tracks that span a massive range of musical genres. What makes this version stand out isn't just the music, but how the game actually reacts to your movements, making you feel like a true part of the digital environment. You can jump into new modes like Dance Crew or Flash Mob for more social fun, or even use the advanced cardio training program if you want to break a serious sweat. It is a dynamic, interactive experience that keeps the energy high from the first song to the last.

Far Cry 4 redefines the open-world chaos through a seamless drop-in, drop-out co-op system that makes every mission feel like a shared adrenaline rush. The landscape is breathtakingly diverse, pulling you from lush, humid forests into the freezing, snowcapped heights of the Himalayas. You aren't just fighting human enemies. The wildlife is a constant threat, with everything from leopards to honey badgers lurking in the brush. Movement feels incredibly fluid thanks to the addition of the gyrocopter and wingsuit, and there is something uniquely wild about charging into battle on the back of a six-ton elephant. Whether you are sniping from a distance or utilizing a massive, unpredictable arsenal, the world feels alive, dangerous, and completely unpredictable.

Most modern shooters rely on high-tech weaponry, but Far Cry Primal proves that a sharpened stick and raw instinct are just as lethal. Stepping into the Stone Age landscape of Oros feels fundamentally different from the franchise's tropical or Himalayan settings because the stakes are purely primal. You aren't just fighting soldiers. You are struggling to survive against sabretooth tigers and massive mammoths while navigating a world where humanity sits at the bottom of the food chain. The open-world sandbox gameplay excels here, forcing you to craft a deadly arsenal from scratch to outsmart rival tribes. It is a savage, breathtaking experience that trades bullets for bone and flint, turning every encounter into a desperate fight for survival.

Most open-world titles force you into rigid combat loops, but Watch Dogs 2 turns the entire city into your personal toolkit. Instead of just running and gunning, you are navigating a living, breathing San Francisco Bay Area where every connected device is a potential weapon. I found it incredibly satisfying to switch from high-speed chases through Oakland to silent infiltration in Silicon Valley by simply hijacking a drone or a security robot. Whether you prefer a ghost-like stealth approach or a chaotic, tech-driven assault using 3D printed weapons and RC cars, the agency you have over the environment is unmatched. The seamless multiplayer even lets you bring friends into this shared digital playground for co-op missions or competitive play.

Can a crossover between two wildly different universes actually result in a cohesive, polished masterpiece? Mario and Rabbids Kingdom proves that it can by blending Nintendo's iconic charm with Ubisoft's chaotic energy into a brilliant turn-based strategy experience. While the mechanics are easy to pick up for casual players, the tactical depth makes it a genuine challenge to master during solo play or co-op sessions. You will navigate four distinct worlds, utilizing a massive arsenal of weapons to solve environmental puzzles and outmaneuver enemies. It is a vibrant, humorous journey that balances cartoon violence and comic mischief perfectly, making it a standout exclusive for the Nintendo Switch system.

Assassin's Creed The Ezio Collection stands as the definitive historical epic for handheld gaming enthusiasts. This bundle lets you step directly into the boots of a legendary Assassin, tracing a massive narrative arc from the streets of 15th-century Renaissance Italy through a final quest of discovery. You aren't just playing through a series of missions. You are witnessing the rise of a Brotherhood leader fueled by a quest for vengeance. Ubisoft has specifically optimized this version for the Nintendo Switch, integrating enhanced features like HD Rumble to make the combat and exploration feel much more tactile. One of the best parts of the experience is the ability to curate your own custom playlists, so you aren't stuck playing songs you don't like. For families with little ones, the dedicated Kids Mode featuring eight kid-friendly songs is a thoughtful touch that keeps the youngest players engaged without the pressure. It is a fantastic, budget-friendly way to keep the party moving and get everyone moving to the beat.

I found the addition of the Unlimited Sweat mode particularly effective for anyone looking to turn their gaming sessions into a legitimate workout routine. While the standard edition includes a one-month trial of the Unlimited streaming service to expand your library, the built-in Kids mode ensures the little ones stay engaged with age-appropriate choreography. Most massive open-world RPGs force you into a pre-written role, but Assassin's Creed Odyssey breaks that mold by letting you actually define your legend. Whether you choose to play as Alexios or Kassandra, the sense of agency is palpable through over 30 hours of branching dialogue that leads to multiple distinct endings. You aren't just walking through ancient Greece. You are actively shifting the tides of the Peloponnesian War with intense combat and sweeping naval battles across the Aegean Sea. I found the ability to sail through uncharted waters and hunt for hidden treasures incredibly immersive. If you managed to snag the pre-order version, the additional mission involving the mysterious 'blind King' adds a layer of narrative intrigue that makes this epic journey feel even more personal.

Most fitness routines feel like a chore, but Just Dance 2019 turns high-intensity movement into a genuine party. Ubisoft has mastered the art of the rhythm game by blending forty hot tracks with a surprisingly intelligent interface that actually learns your specific dancing habits. Instead of scrolling endlessly, you can rely on the game to suggest content tailored to your style or simply grab a pre-made playlist that fits your current mood. The dynamic home page keeps things fresh with seasonal event playlists and community updates, so the experience never feels stagnant. If you want to expand your library beyond the base tracks, the Unlimited subscription service opens the door to over 400 songs, making this a robust centerpiece for any family game night.

Stealthily navigating the soot-stained rooftops of Victorian London becomes a visceral reality as you slip through the shadows of the industrial revolution. Assassin's Creed: Syndicate completely shifts the series' dynamic by letting you control the Frye twins, Jacob and Evie, each offering a unique approach to urban warfare. I found the combat system particularly refreshing. Swapping between the elegant Cane Sword and the high-tech Assassin's Gauntlet—complete with a Rope Launcher—makes every street brawl feel tactical rather than repetitive. Your primary goal is to establish a dominant gang to reclaim the underworld, providing a satisfying sense of progression as you expand your influence. It is a dense, atmospheric journey that turns the lawless streets of London into your personal playground for justice.

Whether you are a casual mover or a seasoned pro, the inclusion of a three-month Just Dance Unlimited trial provides instant access to over 300 tracks, making the value proposition incredibly strong.

Can a single collectible truly capture the chaotic, high-tech energy of a digital underworld? This Marcus figurine from Ubisoft manages to do just that by staying incredibly faithful to his in-game counterpart. Standing at a substantial 9.5 inches, the level of detail is impressive, especially since it includes his essential toolkit: a 3D printed gun, his signature thunder ball melee weapon, and even his hacking smartphone. It feels less like a static toy and more like a piece of the game's world brought into reality. If you are looking to build a larger scene, this piece is designed to lock in perfectly with the Wrench figurine to create a complete Watch_Dogs 2 diorama. It is a must-have for fans aged 14 and up who want a centerpiece for their gaming setup.
