Best Viking Discs in 2026

The tacky, grippy texture of the Ground Plastic immediately stands out the moment you pick up one of these discs. Whether you are playing in a humid summer heatwave or a damp, rainy morning, the specialized material ensures your grip stays secure through every throw. This eight-disc collection is a massive shortcut for anyone looking to build a bag without the headache of sourcing individual flight paths. You get a complete progression of tools, ranging from the high-speed Thor driver to the reliable Rune putter. Because the Ground Plastic is designed with more understable, beginner-friendly flight characteristics, it effectively lowers the learning curve for new players. It is a smart, cohesive way to step onto the course with a versatile lineup that covers every distance.

Why waste time and money piecing together a collection when you can grab a curated arsenal in one go? The Viking Discs 8-Disc Starter Set is a massive relief for anyone transitioning from casual throwing to actual course play. Instead of getting stuck with discs that are too difficult to control, this kit provides a logical progression from the high-speed Odin and Ragnarok distance drivers down to the reliable Axe mid-range and straight-flying Rune putters. It is a smart, cohesive way to stock your bag with essential equipment that handles various weather conditions without breaking the bank.

Standing on the first tee of a local course, you realize that having the right tools is the difference between a graceful S-curve drive and a frustrating turnover. This Viking Discs starter set solves that immediate dilemma by providing a curated trio of essentials. The Ragnarok driver offers a comfortable rim and a controllable, fast flight for those long distance shots, while the Axe midrange disc mimics a putter's glide for pinpoint accuracy on approach shots. To finish the hole, the Rune putter delivers the stable, predictable flight path needed to sink those crucial shots. It is a thoughtfully engineered collection that transitions smoothly from beginner basics to intermediate techniques without feeling like a cheap novelty kit.

The Viking Discs Original Set is a comprehensive entry point into the sport that delivers professional-grade performance right out of the box. Instead of forcing you to hunt for individual components, this kit provides an eight-disc arsenal spanning putters, mid-ranges, fairway drivers, and distance drivers to handle any course layout. We were particularly impressed by the specialized ground plastic, which offers the kind of smooth glide that makes learning much less frustrating for beginners. Because every disc in the collection is PDGA approved, you won't outgrow this set once you move from casual play to competitive tournaments. The vibrant, non-uniform color patterns are a thoughtful touch too, making it much easier to spot your gear in tall grass or heavy brush during a round.

Building a complete disc golf bag from scratch usually drains your wallet through slow, expensive individual purchases. This Viking Discs 8-disc tournament set solves that dilemma by bundling a professional-grade lineup into one cohesive package. I was particularly impressed by the variety of flight paths included, ranging from the high-speed Thor driver to the reliable Knife putter. After weeks of use on various courses, the Odin Armor has proven itself as a reliable workhorse for any advanced player looking to extend their range. This distance driver is engineered for maximum distance, providing a remarkably consistent flight path even when wind conditions start to shift. The flight numbers—Speed 10, Glide 4, Turn 0, and Fade 3—indicate a predictable, stable trajectory that helps you control your shots with confidence. What really stands out is the premium Armor Plastic. It is an opaque, durable material that feels substantial in the hand and is built to maintain its original flight characteristics over long-term wear. Whether you are hunting for a long line or a controlled finish, this disc delivers the stability required for high-level play.

The Viking Discs Fenrir Storm Plastic is a powerhouse distance driver built to tame unruly wind. As an intermediate-level disc, it strikes a perfect balance for players looking to bridge the gap between control and raw distance. The flight profile—a Speed 10 with a reliable Fade 3—makes it incredibly dependable when you need a predictable finish on a long shot. I was particularly impressed by the Storm Plastic construction. It feels remarkably durable and maintains its transparent aesthetic while resisting the typical wear and tear of heavy course use. Because this plastic is designed to hold its original flight path even after significant abuse, you won't have to worry about the disc becoming too understable as it ages. It is a rugged, high-performance tool for anyone serious about their driving game.

After weeks of use on rugged, uneven fairways, the Dynamic Discs Trooper has proven itself to be a reliable companion for any player looking to upgrade from a simple basket. With an adjustable strap that works for both left and right-handed players and a built-in towel clip, this lightweight sling keeps your gear organized and your hands free for the game.

Newcomers to the sport should stop hunting for individual discs and grab this Innova set immediately to avoid the steep learning curve of advanced gear. This three-pack provides the essential trifecta of a driver, mid-range, and putter, ensuring you have the right tool for every shot on the course. Because these are crafted from DX plastic in beginner-friendly weights, they offer a more forgiving flight path that won't punish your mistakes as harshly as premium high-speed discs. The PDGA approval means you are playing with professional-grade standards right from day one. While you might receive different color combinations in your box, the core utility remains the same: a reliable, all-in-one entry point into the world of disc golf.

The Westside Discs Origio Burst Set delivers a complete, curated flight experience right out of the box. This collection avoids the common beginner mistake of buying random discs, instead offering a strategic progression from the Underworld’s easy anhyzer shots to the high-domed, distance-trapping flight of the King. I found the Warship midrange to be an incredibly versatile workhorse that holds a straight line regardless of your arm speed, while the Queen provides a smaller, surgical feel for those needing more precision. Rounding it out with the Crown putter ensures you have a consistent, beaded-rim tool for those high-pressure shots. It is a thoughtfully designed kit that covers every aspect of the course, from technical approaches to maximum distance drives.
