A half hour at 1550ºF is the number that matters here, and this SentrySafe chest box is genuinely rated for it — UL classified for paper documents and ETL verified for CDs, DVDs, memory sticks, and USB drives. The lid locks with a privacy key, which keeps snooping relatives out just as usefully, keeps the top from popping open while everything around it is burning. Carrying grips on both sides make the 17-pound box easy to haul, and the slim footprint slides onto a closet shelf or into a lower drawer. The interior is compact — about 13 inches wide and under three inches tall — so think folders, passports, and drives, not a full filing cabinet.

Homeowners who prioritize protecting vital documents and digital media without sacrificing closet space need this compact SentrySafe chest immediately. While it might look like a standard storage box, the internal engineering is serious, featuring UL classification for 30 minutes of fire endurance at 1550ºF. The electronic keypad runs on four AA batteries and gives you three indicator lights so you aren't guessing whether your code registered. Two override keys are included for dead batteries or forgotten codes, so hide them somewhere smart.
