Hansel & Gretel is one of the gems in a brand new (released 2018) line of cuckoo clocks from one of the premier makers of traditional Black Forest cuckoo clocks. It is a perfect choice if you're looking for an incredible cuckoo clock that can be displayed on a shelf, mantel or tabletop rather than mounted on a wall.
It features a beautifully-carved chalet house complete with a lovely red tiled roof and even a lifelike chimney. The house, of course, is the gingerbread house where the witch lives deep in the Bavarian Black Forest. The clock is adorned with the figures of Hansel, Gretel and the witch, bringing to life the characters of the beloved Grimm Brothers fairy tale.
The cuckoo appears to count the hour. The quartz movement chimes the cuckoo and features volume control and auto night off in order not to wake up the witch or anyone else, for that matter. The Quartz Movement Plays 12 Melodies.
