Best Red Hound Auto Door Entry Guard in 2026

Jeep Wrangler owners who refuse to let muddy boots and heavy gear ruin their interior deserve these Red Hound Auto door sill guards. If you drive a 2-door JK model from 2007 through 2018, these protectors are a necessity for maintaining that rugged aesthetic without the unsightly scratch damage. The set includes two premium black plastic guards specifically engineered to fit your vehicle's threshold perfectly. Because they are constructed from automotive-grade plastic, they feel substantial rather than flimsy. It is a simple, effective way to shield your door sills from the constant wear and tear that comes with off-road adventures or daily commuting. Just keep in mind that these are strictly for the JK body style and will not fit the newer JL models.

Because these are precision machine-cut, they contour perfectly to the vehicle's lines without interfering with the door's operation. Installation is a straightforward DIY task that utilizes permanent adhesive designed to withstand harsh weather. It is an excellent way to mask existing blemishes while adding a durable layer of paint protection.

I was particularly impressed by the inclusion of a dual-head rubber mallet, which makes the installation process surprisingly smooth and efficient. Instead of dealing with sticky residue or peeling edges, these flexible rubber strips snap directly onto your vehicle's contours using built-in metal clips. They work across everything from sedans to SUVs and even aluminum boats, providing a protective buffer that also helps dampen wind and road noise. Whether you are shielding your hatch or protecting your fenders, the 32.8ft roll gives you plenty of coverage to ensure your paint stays pristine without the headache of traditional glue-on protectors.

After weeks of use in a tight residential garage, these Red Hound Auto protectors have become an absolute necessity for anyone prone to overshooting their parking spot. Most guards on the market are flimsy, but the sheer two-inch thickness of this high-density foam provides a massive cushion that genuinely absorbs impact. I was particularly impressed by the polished aluminum diamond plate inserts, which add a rugged, professional look to the walls. Unlike adhesive-based alternatives that eventually peel off, these are secured with stainless steel hardware and heavy-duty anchors, ensuring they stay put through every door opening. The waterproof, non-marring foam means I never have to worry about unsightly scuffs or residue on my car's paintwork, making it a reliable shield for both indoor and outdoor environments.
