Best Delong Lures Fishing Lures in 2026

Softy Lure’s scented finesse worms are a budget-friendly powerhouse for bass anglers looking to add reliable depth to their tackle box. These 6.25-inch worms stand out because the salt and scent attractant are impregnated throughout the entire soft plastic rather than just being a surface coating, which is a massive advantage when fish are aggressive. During testing, the lifelike action provided a seductive movement in the water that effectively triggered bites even in difficult fishing conditions. Since they are hand-crafted in the USA, you can feel a level of quality and durability that cheap, mass-produced plastics often lack. Whether you are prepping for a serious tournament or just a weekend on the lake, these worms offer a proven way to drive bass wild.

The subtle, lifelike shimmy of the White Lightning tail is what sets this 5-inch finesse worm apart during a slow retrieval. I found that the material has just the right amount of buoyancy to keep it effective on a Carolina Rig, yet it maintains enough structure to stand upright when rigged on a Shaky Head. Whether you are running a classic Wacky Rig or a heavy Texas Rig, these worms react naturally to water movement. It is refreshing to find a versatile soft plastic that transitions so easily between freshwater and saltwater environments. Since they are made in the USA, you can feel a level of consistency in the plastic that helps you fish with confidence all year long.

The Softy Lure Drop Shot Finesse Worm is a versatile powerhouse designed to trigger bites in any condition. During my testing, the most impressive aspect was the material's buoyancy. These 5-inch worms hold their position beautifully on a Carolina Rig, making them much easier to work than denser alternatives. The Watermelon Red color provides a natural profile that works well in both freshwater and saltwater environments. Whether you are running a classic Drop Shot, a Shaky Head to get that tail standing upright, or even a Texas and Wacky Rig, the action remains consistent. Knowing these are made in the USA adds a layer of confidence to your tackle box, especially when you need a reliable finesse option for year-round bass fishing.

Most anglers settle for stiff, lifeless plastic that fails to trigger a strike, but the Softy Lure Drop Shot King offers a level of fluidity that mimics a living organism. During my time testing these 4.5-inch worms, the most impressive aspect was how easily they maintained a subtle shake in the water with almost zero effort from the angler. The green pumpkin color is a classic staple, and the added secret scent attractant really makes a difference in drawing in bass and other freshwater species. Being made in the USA, the construction feels reliable for finesse fishing where precision is everything. It is a highly effective tool for anyone looking to upgrade their soft plastic selection with something that actually moves naturally.

Most anglers settle for stiff, lifeless plastics that sink like stones, but the Softy Lure 5" Finesse Worm changes the movement dynamic entirely. While testing these in various setups, I found the buoyancy to be a massive advantage for Carolina Rigs, and the tail action is incredibly reactive when rigged on a Shaky Head. Whether you are working a subtle Drop Shot or going more aggressive with a Texas or Wacky Rig, the Bluegill colorway provides a natural profile that bass find hard to ignore. Since these are made in the USA, you can feel the quality in the material, which holds up through multiple casts. It is a versatile workhorse for both freshwater and saltwater environments that justifies its spot in any tackle box.
