I found the material to be incredibly soft and thin, making it comfortable enough for all-day carry without the irritation often caused by stiffer alternatives. It is important to remember that this purchase is for the holster only, as the firearm itself is not included. It provides that audible, reassuring click when holstering, ensuring your 1911 is locked in place without any bulk or sharp edges digging into your waist.

A tight holster is actually a sign of long-term quality rather than a manufacturing flaw. When I first tested this MASC leather piece, the fit felt incredibly snug, but that is a deliberate design choice because the premium genuine leather is engineered to relax and mold perfectly to your firearm over time. The open-top design is a game changer for speed, allowing for much faster draws than traditional closed models.
