Best Giro Kids Helmets in 2026

Riding trails often means facing unpredictable impacts, and the Giro Fixture MIPS is engineered specifically to mitigate those high-stakes risks. After testing its build, the first thing that stands out is the integrated MIPS technology, which works to redirect rotational energy during a crash to help protect your brain. It feels incredibly rugged thanks to the in-molding construction, yet it doesn't feel heavy or cumbersome on long rides. Airflow is a major win here too, as the 18 wind tunnel vents paired with internal channeling keep your head cool even when the climb gets steep. It is a reliable, safety-focused piece of gear that offers a universal fit right out of the box, making it a smart choice for any mountain biker.

Young riders face unpredictable falls, making high-level head protection a non-negotiable priority for parents. The Giro Scamp MIPS addresses this necessity by integrating the Multi-Directional Impact Protection System, which is specifically designed to redirect crash energy away from the brain. During my testing, the in-molding construction felt incredibly rugged, yet the eight vents ensured airflow remained consistent even on warmer rides. I was particularly impressed by the Roc Loc Jr. fit system. It makes adjusting the vertical position and tension simple enough for a child to manage. Since it meets the US CPSC Safety Standard for riders aged one and older, you get peace of mind alongside a bright, highly visible aesthetic that doesn't sacrifice safety for style.
