Best Ego Nets in 2026

Most anglers settle for static, single-purpose nets that force a choice between reach and maneuverability, but the EGO S1 Slider changes the fundamental math of landing a catch. During testing, the standout feature was clearly the S2 Slider technology, which allows you to adjust the length from 29 to 60 inches with a simple push or pull. This means you can keep your rod in your hand while extending the net to secure a fish, rather than fumbling with gear mid-fight. The modular platform is a game-changer, offering over 30 interchangeable attachments to suit different environments. Whether you are on a kayak in a quiet stream or a jet ski in the ocean, this tool handles up to 30 lbs of fish with ease and versatility.

The bright orange EVA foam handle is impossible to miss, even when you are fumbling through gear in the dim light of dawn. This landing net feels remarkably sturdy for its weight, thanks to the 6063 aluminum alloy construction that resists the bending and cracking common with cheaper alternatives. I was particularly impressed by the retractable u-shaped hoop design. With a quick press of the stainless-steel reinforced switch, the frame folds down for easy transport. Whether you opt for the nylon-covered PVC or the fish-friendly silicone mesh, the stealthy design prevents spooking your catch. It manages a significant 44lb capacity while remaining light enough to carry all day, making it a versatile tool for both bank and boat anglers.

The EGO Floating Bait Net is a total lifesaver for anyone tired of losing gear to the bottom of a lake. Because the lightweight plastic construction is designed to float, you won't face that sinking feeling if it slips out of your hands while working a live well. The 18-inch high-strength plastic handle features a flexi design that makes maneuvering in tight spaces easy, whether you are on a kayak or a jet ski. With a 3/16 mesh and an 8-inch bag depth, it is perfectly sized for grabbing bait, cleaning tanks, or even letting kids safely collect tadpoles and frogs. It is a compact, versatile tool that handles both salt and freshwater environments without breaking a sweat.

The EGO S2 Slider Handles redefine modularity in the fishing category by turning a single net into a versatile multi-tool. Instead of lugging around various poles, you can instantly adjust your reach using the intuitive thumb-release button and neoprene foam grip. I found the 6-inch locking intervals incredibly convenient for fine-tuning your length on the fly, whether you need a compact setup or a massive 208-inch extension. While the load capacity shifts depending on how far you extend the pole—dropping from 30lbs at re-tracked to 12lbs at full extension—the sheer variety of compatible attachments like gaffs and boat hooks makes this a powerhouse for any angler. It is a clever, space-saving solution for those who demand adaptability without sacrificing grip comfort.

Most anglers assume a long-reach net means sacrificing portability, but the EGO Reach flips that logic on its head. I was surprised to find that this tool manages an impressive 8.5-foot extension while weighing in at under two pounds. The standout feature is definitely the EGO Slider technology. You can adjust the length with a simple push or pull, making it easy to operate with just one hand when a fish is fighting. Whether you are navigating a kayak or a jet ski, the knotless, snag-free netting ensures you won't damage your catch, and the fact that it actually floats is a massive lifesaver in deep water. It is a versatile, saltwater-safe essential that handles everything from calm ponds to the open ocean without feeling bulky.

Anglers who prioritize efficiency over bulk need this versatile tool in their tackle box immediately. The EGO Chum Bag isn't just a simple mesh sack. It is a multi-functional powerhouse that doubles as a clam bag, bait container, or shell collector. What really sets it apart is the integrated EGO Slider technology, which allows you to adjust the reach of the net with a simple push or pull using just one hand. This makes it incredibly easy to manage while navigating a kayak, canoe, or boat. At under two pounds, it is lightweight enough for long days on the water, yet the design ensures it actually floats if it slips from your grip. Whether you are in a stream or the ocean, the 8.5-foot extendable reach provides the utility you need without the heavy footprint.

Why settle for a flimsy net that compromises your catch when you can upgrade to professional-grade equipment? The EGO S2 Medium Rubber Net is a high-performance solution designed specifically for anglers who demand a more functional landing experience. During testing, the high-quality finish stood out immediately, signaling a build that can withstand the rigors of frequent use on the water. This isn't just another piece of tackle. It is a specialized tool that prioritizes durability and efficiency. The rubber construction provides a much better landing net solution than standard mesh, ensuring your fish are handled with care while maintaining a rugged, dependable feel in your hands.

Why settle for a single-purpose net when you can own a modular system that evolves with your fishing style? The EGO S1 and S2 fixed handles completely redefine what a landing tool should be, moving far beyond the clunky gear of previous generations. During testing, the lightweight construction really stood out. At under two pounds, it’s easy to maneuver on a kayak or jet ski without feeling weighed down. The Genesis net design is a lifesaver because it actually floats, meaning a missed cast won't result in a lost investment. Between the non-slip grip and the non-tangle mesh, the build quality feels professional and ready for everything from calm ponds to ocean currents. It is a versatile, rugged essential for any serious angler.

After weeks of use on the water, the sheer versatility of the Ego modular system has fundamentally changed how I organize my gear. Instead of carrying a cluttered bag of single-use tools, I can swap between specialized attachments like the lure retriever or a gaff hook in seconds. The lure retriever is a genuine lifesaver. Its centerline guide and round tip protect expensive lures while bringing them back to the boat, which pays for itself almost immediately. Because these attachments are interchangeable between the S2 Slider and S2 Genesis, you aren't locked into one setup. Whether you need a deck brush for cleaning or a specific net for trout or ocean fishing, this tactical approach to gear management makes every trip much more efficient.

You might wonder if a smaller, more portable net can actually hold up against the rigors of a serious fishing trip, but the EGO Trout Fishing Net proves that size isn't everything. I was impressed by how the injected mold handle feels incredibly sturdy without adding unnecessary weight to my gear bag. It is specifically designed for the sports fisherman who prioritizes catch and release, allowing you to handle fish of various sizes safely and without causing harm. Whether you are navigating a narrow stream, paddling a kayak, or out on a jet ski, this net eliminates the usual bulk of traditional equipment. It is a reliable, personal carry option that fits seamlessly into any aquatic environment from ponds to the ocean.

Most backyard explorers end up with flimsy, single-use nets that tear the moment they catch anything substantial, but the EGO Butterfly Net is built to actually last. I found that the construction feels significantly more robust than the cheap plastic alternatives you typically see in toy aisles. Since it is crafted from high-quality materials, it stands up to the rigors of outdoor play without feeling fragile. The assorted color options add a nice touch of variety for different preferences, making it a versatile choice for any nature enthusiast. It is a dependable piece of gear that prioritizes durability, ensuring that your outdoor adventures aren't cut short by equipment failure.
