With an IPX4 water resistance rating and a versatile hanging hook, they are rugged enough to handle splashes and can be hung anywhere from a tree branch to a tent pole.

Most emergency lighting kits rely on bulky, rechargeable units that leave you stranded when the battery inevitably dies mid-storm. Most people assume a lantern's value is tied strictly to its peak brightness, but the real hero here is the clever silicone globe that doubles as a glow-in-the-dark beacon.
