EASILY CONNECT ANGLED HANDRAILS TO NEWEL POSTS – Perfect for stairway post joints, this angled railbolt kit adjusts to the ideal angle to perfectly align the lower connection of an angled handrail to a newel post.
FAST INSTALLATION – Attaching handrails to fittings is no longer a tedious, time consuming process. Wax and screw the railbolt into the reamed newel post, place the housing gear inside the railing, and tighten the gear with the included 5mm hex bit using a screwdriver or cordless drill. NOTE: Impact drivers should not be used when tightening the gear housing.

Available in poplar, red oak, white oak, walnut, cherry, alder and mahogany.
Our caps are made to fit somewhat loosely over a 3.5 inch newel to allow for leveling and varying newel posts. Caps can be stained, painted, or clear finished then secured with epoxy, wood glue, construction adhesive, or finish nails. Some sanding may be required.
Dimensions of the cap: 5-7/8" x 5-7/8" x 1-1/2" thick (tall).
Note: Caps slide onto your newel post about 3/4", but if that's too much, you can insert a 1/4" to 1/2" piece of wood inside the cap to keep it from sliding down too far on your newel.
