1 Purple, Prickly Pear Cactus Pad Live Plant Fresh Plant

This Prickly Pear Cactus Pad is in excellent hearty condition These cactus pedals hold up very well in the heat or cold & don't need much water once rooted. You can easily plant them in any dirt about 2" deep, water them once a week & they will root themselves. They are nearly indestructible, you can even just lay them on the dirt & they will eventually sprout roots out of the sides & grow a new plant.

They turn purple in the cold winter & turn more blueish in the hot summer time. They produce large yellow flowers in season and have hundreds of tiny thorns. They measure about 5 - 6" long and may vary slightly in color from the picture but will be basicly just like what you see. Cactus Germinating instructions: Cactus mix: ½ fine sphagnum, ¼ vermiculite, ¼ perlite. Plant in small 4 or 5” pots. Moisten soil well.

Gently rub seeds across medium/fine sandpaper to weaken the shell (scarify) to increase germination success. Plant 5-10 seeds on top of soil per pot. Barely cover seeds with sand or grit.

There are Succulents, Cacti, and Leafy Foliage which are perfect indoor house plants. Succulents and Cacti should be watered only when their soil is dried. Foliage should always stay moist.

Common names include: African Milk tree, Red Cathedral Cactus, Milktree Plant | Scientific name: Euphorbia trigona |Shipped well-rooted & potted in a 4 inch plastic pot with soil and ready for a size up!

It has an upright stem and number of branches that also grow upward. The stem and branches can have two or three sides. The stem itself has a special dark red color instead of the normal dark green with V-shaped light green patterns. The 5 mm (1/4 in) thorns occur in pairs on the stem's ridges. The drop shaped leaves grow from between the two thorns on each ridge. The plant has never been known to flower, and is possibly a hybrid.

The trigona can withstand brief cold temperatures of down to −3 °C (27 °F). It prefers sandy soil but can withstand most types of well-drained soil. It can root easily from stem cuttings, if allowed to dry for 3–7 days before planting so that it can form a callus and not rot. It grows to a height of 1.5–3 m (4 ft 11 in–9 ft 10 in).
