WATERING NEEDS | Cacti are very sensitive to overwatering, and damp soil can cause root rot. Dry out soil completely between waterings. Recommended amount is once every two weeks. Tip: top inch of soil should feel dry before watering again.

FERTILIZING NEEDS | Fertilize every two to four weeks during spring and summer. Withhold fertilizer during the fall and winter months.

1 Purple, Prickly Pear Cactus Pad Live Plant Fresh Plant

This Prickly Pear Cactus Pad is in excellent hearty condition These cactus pedals hold up very well in the heat or cold & don't need much water once rooted. You can easily plant them in any dirt about 2" deep, water them once a week & they will root themselves. They are nearly indestructible, you can even just lay them on the dirt & they will eventually sprout roots out of the sides & grow a new plant.

They turn purple in the cold winter & turn more blueish in the hot summer time. They produce large yellow flowers in season and have hundreds of tiny thorns. They measure about 5 - 6" long and may vary slightly in color from the picture but will be basicly just like what you see. Cactus Germinating instructions: Cactus mix: ½ fine sphagnum, ¼ vermiculite, ¼ perlite. Plant in small 4 or 5” pots. Moisten soil well.

Gently rub seeds across medium/fine sandpaper to weaken the shell (scarify) to increase germination success. Plant 5-10 seeds on top of soil per pot. Barely cover seeds with sand or grit.

Opuntia monacantha f. monstruosa variegata commonly known as “Joseph's Coat” is one of the very few naturally occurring white-variegated cacti. It is a dwarf, teratological variant of the larger Prickly Pear cactus Opuntia monacantha.

As its name suggests, this cactus is variegated or marbled with white, creamy-white, yellow, green and sometimes also with pink in varying patterns.

Opuntia Rufida Minima is a miniature prickly pear version also known as Cinnamon Cactus which only grows to approx. 8" to 10" in height. The pads are covered with very small brownish-cinnamon colored spines or glochids. Its spikes are small therefore you have to be careful when touching it.
