Best Ames Research Laboratories in 2026

Homeowners dealing with aging tar and gravel roofs or leaky RV seals need this specific elastomeric primer to prevent a total structural headache. I found the 1200% expansion and contraction capability to be the real game-changer here, as it moves with your surfaces to stop the typical cracking and peeling seen in cheaper sealants. It is a water-based liquid rubber that works beautifully on everything from wood and aluminum to galvanized steel. You can easily apply it via brush, roller, or sprayer, and the water-based formula makes cleanup a breeze. Just remember that this is a base coat designed to be paired with a UV-resistant top coat for maximum longevity. It is a solid, eco-friendly choice for anyone looking to restore and waterproof older asphalt surfaces.

Most DIYers assume a primer is just a colored base coat, but Ames Super Primer actually functions more like a structural reinforcement for your project. Instead of just sitting on top of a surface, this acrylic sealer builds a powerful membrane that physically strengthens the substrate, adding much-needed longevity to whatever you are coating. I found it incredibly versatile because it handles everything from stubborn tile and brick to smooth metal and wood without breaking a sweat. It applies with a pearlescent white sheen, which makes it easy to see your coverage, but it dries completely clear once it bonds to those notoriously difficult-to-adhere surfaces. Whether you are working on an interior accent wall or an exterior concrete patio, this American-made formula provides the professional-grade foundation required for a lasting finish.

Property owners facing structural expansion issues need AMES Peel & Stick Seam Tape to prevent inevitable leaks. This heavy-duty, fleece-backed butyl-rubber tape is a lifesaver for reinforcing vulnerable areas like roof vents, flashings, and metal seams that shift during temperature swings. I found the 500% elongation capability particularly impressive, as it allows the tape to stretch and contour over cracks in wood, concrete, or even RV roofing without snapping. Application is straightforward: just peel, align, and press firmly. While it provides a robust barrier, remember that you must apply a top coat for any exterior projects to ensure long-term durability. It is a reliable, American-made solution for anyone looking to seal gaps with professional-grade strength.

Ames Super Primer is a powerhouse multi-surface solution that creates an incredibly strong, clear membrane across almost any substrate. I was particularly impressed by how versatile this acrylic formula feels, working just as effectively on tricky surfaces like tile and concrete as it does on standard wood. Because it dries completely clear, you don't have to worry about a cloudy residue obscuring your final finish or altering the aesthetic of your project. The 5-gallon bucket offers massive coverage, handling up to 1,000 square feet with ease, which makes it a go-to for larger home improvement tasks. It is a professional-grade tool for anyone needing a reliable bond that stays invisible once applied.

Is your game night starting to feel a little too predictable? The Blue Box expansion is the perfect remedy for players who have already exhausted the base set and are craving fresh, chaotic energy. This 300-card pack is designed to be mixed seamlessly into your existing collection, making it a vital addition if you already own the core game. What sets this specific expansion apart is the heavy emphasis on 'Pick 2' black cards, which adds a layer of strategic absurdity to your turns. It pairs beautifully with the Red and Green Boxes to keep the humor evolving. Just remember, this is strictly an expansion for those aged 17 and up, so keep the base game handy to get the full experience.

Cleaning up a midnight accident from a senior pet or managing incontinence shouldn't feel like a constant battle against ruined furniture. These Medline Softnit underpads offer a heavy-duty solution that actually holds up to the rigors of daily use. The 34 x 36 inch footprint is significantly larger than your standard disposable option, providing much-needed coverage for both humans and animals. I was particularly impressed by the construction. The twill facing feels soft against the skin, while the vinyl-knit barrier ensures nothing seeps through to the mattress. Because they are a cotton-polyester blend designed for multiple wash and dry cycles, they transition easily from a protective layer to a clean, fresh pad without losing their leak-proof integrity.

After weeks of hosting game nights, I realized our deck was starting to feel a little predictable. Adding the Red Box expansion was the perfect way to shake things up and inject fresh chaos into our sessions. This pack contains 300 cards designed to mix seamlessly with your existing set, making it a vital addition if you already own the base game. It plays incredibly well alongside the Blue and Green Box expansions, allowing you to build a massive, customized library of absurdity. Just keep in mind that this is an expansion, so you'll need the original game to get started. It is strictly for players aged 17 and up, and while the cards aren't edible, they certainly provide plenty of fuel for a wild night of laughter.
