While the custom 11-hole white pearl pickguard and matching white knobs look stunning, the real magic lies in the electronics. By utilizing Alnico loaded single-coil pickups paired with a dedicated Guitar Expander and presence control, you gain an incredible level of tonal authority. I found that the setup significantly boosts treble and bass frequencies while adding a much-needed earthiness to the mid-range. It arrives as a complete, ready-to-mount package, making it a seamless way to transform your instrument's sonic identity into something truly professional and expressive.

Whether you are playing lightning-fast leads or crushing riffs, this set provides the punchy, consistent clarity that active pickups are famous for.

Guitarists often struggle to find a bridge pickup that balances aggressive power with musical nuance without sounding overly harsh. The EMG 85 solves this by offering a more sophisticated, well-rounded alternative to the legendary EMG 81. By utilizing close aperture coils loaded with Alnico V magnets, this pickup delivers a muscular growl that transitions seamlessly into smooth, soulful leads. I found the midrange response to be much more substantial than standard passive pickups, providing a creamy warmth that makes blues passages feel incredibly expressive. You get a bright, airy top end paired with a surprisingly rich bottom end that sustains beautifully. It is a rare find that manages to eliminate noise through internal shielding while maintaining the authentic, punchy tone of a true single coil.
