Best Safariland in 2026

After weeks of use in high-intensity training environments, the Safariland 6378RDS has proven to be a cornerstone for anyone requiring serious retention. This duty holster is specifically engineered for Glock 19 and 23 setups equipped with a Surefire X300U and red dot sights, ensuring your optic remains unobstructed during a draw. The Automatic Locking System (ALS) provides peace of mind by securing the weapon instantly, yet it remains intuitive enough for a rapid release with a simple thumb swipe. I was particularly impressed by the Drop Flex adapter and the single strap leg shroud, which allow for a highly customizable fit on almost any leg. Between the durable SafariLaminate construction and the soft suede interior, your gear stays protected while remaining ready for immediate deployment.

You might wonder if a small polymer plate can actually revolutionize your entire gear setup, but the Safariland Quick Locking System proves that modularity is king. After testing how easily it integrates with various platforms, the efficiency is undeniable. You can swap your holster from a duty belt to a thigh rig or a vest in seconds without any hassle. It isn't just about convenience, though, because this kit passes Safariland’s Level I Retention pull test, ensuring your weapon stays exactly where it belongs. Since it works with all 3-hole pattern Safariland holsters and includes the necessary mounting hardware, it is a seamless upgrade for any armory. It effectively frees up your belt space by allowing you to redistribute your gear across different stable platforms effortlessly.

Professional duty operators who constantly swap gear between different rigs absolutely require the Safariland QLS 1-2 Quick Locking System to maintain operational efficiency. This kit is a game-changer for anyone tired of being locked into a single configuration, as it allows you to move your holster or accessories between a duty belt, tactical leg shroud, or MOLLE vest in seconds. By including both the QLS 19 locking fork and the QLS 22 receiver plate, Safariland ensures you have everything needed for a seamless setup right out of the box. The Level 1 retention is incredibly intuitive, requiring only a simple pinch of the thumb and index finger to draw your weapon. It turns a cumbersome gear transition into a streamlined, professional process that works perfectly for high-tempo daily use.

Serious duty professionals who demand rapid gear transitions between different rigs will find this Safariland kit indispensable. The combination of the Quick Locking System and the 6075UBL low-ride belt loop solves the common frustration of being tethered to a single mounting point. You can effortlessly move your holster from a belt to a thigh rig using the modular 3-hole pattern, and the included duty receiver plate makes installation a breeze since it mounts anywhere you can drive a screw. I particularly like how the low-ride design drops the holster further from the belt. It significantly improves concealment and prevents that annoying hip bone pressure. It is rugged, passes Level I retention tests, and the durable polymer construction ensures it survives heavy tactical use.

Switching gear between a duty belt, a tactical leg shroud, or a MOLLE vest used to require a complete teardown, but this kit eliminates that tedious downtime. The Safariland QLS 1-2 system is a game-changer for anyone needing to swap mounting platforms on the fly. By pairing the QLS 19 Locking Fork with the QLS 22 Receiver Plate, you gain a modular setup that works seamlessly with any Safariland accessory featuring a 3-hole mounting pattern. It is a robust, American-made solution that brings professional-grade versatility to your tactical loadout without adding unnecessary bulk.

You are navigating a dense tactical environment and realize your holster is sitting just a bit too low, obstructing your movement. This Safariland Drop Flex Adapter solves that exact positioning headache by replacing the standard vertical strap to raise your system height to a custom, comfortable level. The assembly is built from 100% synthetic polymer, making it incredibly rugged for high-intensity sports or duty use. I found the setup remarkably versatile because the mounting holes accommodate up to two different tactical accessories on the thigh plate. With a 2-inch rubber leg strap and an adjustable vertical web strap, it stays locked in place regardless of your leg size. It is a seamless, ambidextrous solution that integrates perfectly with existing duty gear.

The Safariland Quick Locking System is the gold standard for tactical modularity and rapid gear transitions. This kit completely changes how you manage your duty setup by allowing you to move your holster between a belt loop, thigh rig, or any stable platform in seconds. The Safariland QLS22 Quick Duty Receiver Plate System is a masterclass in modular gear efficiency. After testing how it integrates with various setups, the most impressive aspect is the ability to swap duty gear with a single hand using a simple pinch mechanism. Whether you are mounting a holster to a tactical leg shroud, attaching a pouch to a chest vest, or even setting up a bedside station for rapid access, this plate acts as the essential bridge. It works seamlessly with the QLS 19, MLS 16, and any Safariland holster featuring 3-hole or 2-hole patterns. Being made in the USA, the build quality feels rugged enough for high-intensity duty environments where equipment failure isn't an option. It turns a static gear setup into a highly versatile, swappable ecosystem.

The Safariland 6075UBL Low-Ride Universal Belt Loop eliminates hip bone discomfort by ditching the traditional support ridge. If you have ever dealt with a holster digging into your side during long shifts, this design change is a massive relief. It uses a clever belt slot design to lock onto your duty belt securely, which means you can skip those annoying belt tension screws entirely. This approach also protects your gear by ensuring the hardware won't damage the top of your belt. Since it is compatible with any holster featuring a standard 3-hole pattern, it offers a seamless upgrade for your existing setup. It is a thoughtful, practical piece of kit that prioritizes both comfort and belt longevity.

The Safariland 6075 Cantable Belt Loop is a specialized duty accessory that delivers much-needed customization for professional holster setups. After testing its integration, the standout feature is clearly the adjustable cant, which allows you to dial in the exact angle that suits your draw stroke and comfort level. Because it utilizes a low-ride design, the grip of your pistol sits just below the belt line, making it much easier to access during high-stress situations. It is built to handle serious duty use, passing the rigorous retention pull test to ensure it won't fail when you need it most. Whether you are using a standard 3-hole patterned holster or the QLS system, this loop provides a secure, stable foundation for any 2-inch duty belt.

The Safariland 7378 is a masterclass in secure, low-profile carry for Sig Sauer P320 owners. What really sets this holster apart is the Automatic Locking System, which provides a rock-solid grip on your firearm the moment it hits the sheath while still allowing for an incredibly fast, intuitive draw. Because it is constructed from a non-abrasive SafariSeven nylon blend, you don't have to worry about the material scratching or marring your weapon's finish over time. It is designed to ride exceptionally close to the body, making it a top-tier choice for those prioritizing concealment. The inclusion of both a concealment paddle and a traditional belt loop means you have immediate versatility for different gear setups right out of the box.

The standout feature is the Automatic Locking System, which provides a reassuring click that secures your firearm the moment it hits the holster while still allowing for a lightning-fast draw when it matters most. I love the dual-material construction. The SafariLaminate exterior handles daily wear and tear without breaking a sweat, while the soft SafariSuede interior ensures your finish stays pristine. Because it is designed to ride tight against the body, it stays tucked away easily under a shirt. Most people assume a secure holster means a slow draw, but the Safariland 6378 flips that logic on its head. After testing the ALS technology, it is clear that the automatic locking system is the real star here, snapping your Glock 17 or 22 into place instantly while remaining incredibly smooth during a rapid draw. The construction is a clever dual-layer design. The rugged SafariLaminate exterior handles daily abuse, while the soft SafariSuede interior ensures your firearm stays scratch-free. Because the paddle is contoured with a slight forward cant, it sits tight against your hip, making concealment much easier than standard bulky rigs. It is a professional-grade piece of gear that feels built to last.
