Best Soonsun in 2026

The SOONSUN Frame Mount Housing stands out for its clever design that keeps every single slot on your camera fully accessible. If you are still rocking a GoPro Hero 3, 3+, or 4, this lightweight plastic frame is a game-changer for quick adjustments. I found that having a dedicated long thumb screw and a quick-release buckle included in the kit makes mounting much more seamless during active use. It is a perfect companion for running or climbing where you want to minimize bulk without sacrificing ease of access. Just keep in mind that this is a dry frame, so it isn't built for underwater adventures or extreme weather, but for standard land-based travel, it provides a streamlined and convenient mounting solution.

After weeks of use in salt-heavy environments, the durability of this SOONSUN housing has proven to be its strongest asset. I took it out for several dives, and the 316 stainless steel hardware on the screw and buckle held up perfectly against seawater corrosion without any signs of rust. The large flat glass lens is a standout feature, maintaining impressive image sharpness whether you are shooting just above the surface or deep underwater. It feels sturdy yet remains lightweight enough to not weigh down your gear during extreme activities. For anyone looking to push their Hero 4 or Hero 3 series cameras down to 40 meters, this case offers a reliable, professional-grade seal that gives you peace of mind during deep sea excursions.

This SOONSUN replacement kit is an essential modular upgrade for anyone using the standard GoPro Hero 3+ or Hero 4 waterproof housing. Instead of being stuck with just one configuration, you get three distinct options: a standard waterproof door, a skeleton door for better connectivity, and an LCD touch backdoor for improved screen visibility. The build quality feels surprisingly robust for the price, especially since the metal components utilize 316 stainless steel to prevent seawater corrosion during dives. Swapping these out is a breeze, allowing you to transition from a fully sealed underwater setup to a more communicative desktop or shallow-water configuration in seconds. It is a clever, lightweight way to extend the utility of your existing gear without a massive investment.

Action camera users often struggle with bulky gear that ruins the spontaneity of an outdoor adventure. The SOONSUN 3-in-1 Aluminum Telescoping Monopod solves this by consolidating a selfie stick, a handheld grip, and a stable tripod into one compact aluminum unit. I found the transition between modes incredibly smooth. The foldout legs snap into a tripod configuration, while the built-in magnets allow the legs to fold together for a seamless hand grip. It extends from a compact 8.5 inches up to a much more versatile 28 inches, which is perfect for capturing wide-angle scenery. Because it includes both a phone holder clip and a 1/4'' screw mount, you can switch from your GoPro to your smartphone without needing extra accessories. It is a versatile, lightweight essential for any creator on the move.

The SOONSUN 3-Pack Dive Filter kit is a total game-changer for anyone trying to fix the washed-out blue tint that ruins underwater footage. Instead of struggling with murky, desaturated video, these filters allow you to restore vibrant reds and deep contrasts depending on your depth. I found the snap-on design incredibly intuitive. You just click them directly onto your official GoPro waterproof housing without any fumbling. The kit is thoughtful too, including specific red, light red, and magenta options to match different light conditions, plus safety tethers so you don't lose them in the current. It is a straightforward, essential upgrade for making your GoPro Hero 8 through 11 footage look professional rather than amateur.

Most creators settle for a wobbly, unreliable setup once a single tiny screw goes missing, but this SOONSUN kit restores your gear to factory standards instantly. Instead of hunting for loose parts, you get a comprehensive repair solution that actually improves your workflow. The inclusion of a dedicated clamp mount holder is a massive win for one-handed operation, allowing you to secure your WiFi remote directly to the grip. I also found the variety of hardware—including long and short screws—makes it versatile enough for different mounting needs. The high-quality cloth wrist strap features an adjustable button, adding a much-needed layer of security to prevent accidental drops during action shots. It is a small investment that saves your expensive tripod from becoming useless junk.

Capturing vibrant underwater footage often feels impossible once the sunlight fades and everything turns a murky blue. The SOONSUN dive housing solves this color-cast problem by including a dedicated three-pack of red, light red, and magenta filters to restore natural tones at various depths. It is rated for depths up to 147 feet, and the large flat glass lens ensures your shots stay sharp whether you are skimming the surface or diving deep. I love that the design is user-friendly, allowing you to slide your camera into the case without the hassle of removing a separate cover lens. With the included tripod adapter and protective lens cap, it feels like a complete kit for any ocean enthusiast looking to expand their photography kit.

Can you really put a price on the peace of mind that comes with knowing your expensive action camera won't sink to the bottom of the ocean? The SOONSUN 4-in-1 system is a total game-changer for anyone obsessed with water sports like surfing or snorkeling. It functions as a stable tripod for stationary shots, a compact hand grip, and an extendable monopod that reaches up to 27 inches. The standout feature is undoubtedly the buoyant design paired with a high-visibility orange cap, making it incredibly easy to spot if you lose your grip in the waves. It is remarkably versatile too, working seamlessly with GoPro, DJI OSMO, and Insta360 setups, and even lets you swap in a smartphone or compact digital camera with the included adapters.

Standard waterproof housings often trap heat and force you to strip the camera down every time you need to swap a memory card or plug in a live-feed cable. This SOONSUN skeleton case solves that frustration by utilizing a side-open design that keeps your ports and card slots fully accessible. I found the hollow backdoor particularly useful because it prevents the overheating issues common with enclosed cases while simultaneously boosting audio clarity. It is a massive convenience to be able to charge the unit or manage storage without constantly removing the protective shell. Even the Hero 4 Silver users benefit from the ability to interact with the touchscreen through the housing, making it a highly functional choice for creators who need constant connectivity.

The SOONSUN Side Open Protective Skeleton Housing Case changes the game for GoPro users who need constant connectivity without the bulk of a traditional waterproof shell. What really stands out is the side-opening design, which lets you plug in cables for live-feed video, charging, or external audio while the camera is securely mounted. Because the housing features a hollow backdoor and open microphone access, you don't have to sacrifice sound quality or deal with overheating issues during long shoots. It is incredibly convenient to slide your camera directly into the frame without stripping off your existing lens covers. Plus, the ability to interact with your touchscreen through the case makes navigating settings a breeze during active use.

The SOONSUN Blackout Waterproof Housing is a specialized tool designed specifically for stealthy, low-profile underwater filming. Unlike standard clear housings that catch every bit of ambient light, this matte black design is built to stay hidden, making it a go-to for special ops style shots where visibility is a liability. The non-reflective surface works alongside included LCD concealment stickers to eliminate unwanted light leaks and flash reflections. It feels incredibly sturdy, utilizing a tight rubber seal that provides reliable protection down to depths of 35 meters. While you do sacrifice the ability to use a rear viewfinder or LCD screen while inside, the trade-off is a professional, light-absorbing enclosure that is fully compatible with Hero4 and Hero3 series cameras.

Underwater photographers hunting for that perfect split-level shot should stop scrolling and grab this SOONSUN dome port immediately. The semicircular design is a game-changer, pushing the waterline away from the lens so you can capture the surface and the seafloor in a single, seamless frame. What really sets this housing apart is the integrated rotary knob that lets you swap between a 10x macro filter for tiny critters and a red filter to restore natural colors at depth. It’s a rugged, all-in-one solution that handles depths up to 147 feet, and the included floating hand grip and trigger make operating your GoPro much more stable and intuitive while you're submerged.

The SOONSUN 4-pack filter set is an essential upgrade for any GoPro Hero 8 through 11 owner looking to master underwater cinematography. Instead of battling washed-out blues and greens, these specialized lenses allow you to reclaim vibrant, natural tones during scuba diving or snorkeling sessions. The kit is impressively versatile, offering a red filter for deep water, a light red option for shallower snorkeling, and a magenta filter to balance color shifts. I was particularly struck by the inclusion of a 5x macro filter, which turns your action camera into a surprisingly capable tool for capturing intricate details of marine life. Because these are designed specifically for the official waterproof housing, the fit is precise, and the high light transmittance ensures your high-definition footage remains crisp and clear without losing brightness.

Action camera enthusiasts stuck with older GoPro Hero 3+ or Hero 4 hardware need this specific kit to unlock modern functionality. The SOONSUN BacPac kit is a clever way to breathe new life into your standard housing by allowing you to swap between different backdoors depending on your mission. Whether you need the Standard, Skeleton, or LCD Touch BacPac version, this set gives you the versatility to add a screen or extra battery life on the fly. I was particularly impressed by the build quality. The metal components use 316 stainless steel, which is a massive win for anyone filming in salt water because it won't rust. Switching them out is incredibly straightforward, making it a practical toolkit for any enthusiast looking to customize their setup.

The SOONSUN Waterproof Case is a deep-sea powerhouse that takes your GoPro Hero 9, 10, or 11 Black down to a staggering 60 meters. What really sets this housing apart from the standard crowd is the integrated dual cold shoe slots, which let you mount external lights or microphones without sacrificing the ability to shoot in both horizontal and vertical orientations. The build quality feels incredibly secure thanks to the thick tempered glass and heavy-duty sealing ring, ensuring your footage stays dry during extreme dives. I was especially impressed by the included four-pack of filters. Having dedicated red, light red, magenta, and a 5X macro lens means you can correct underwater color shifts and capture tiny marine life with professional clarity right out of the box.

You might hesitate to trust a budget filter kit with your expensive GoPro footage, but this SOONSUN set actually delivers professional-grade results for much less. The ND16 filter uses high-grade multi-coated optical glass to cut light by 4 f-stops, which is a total game-changer for preventing blown-out highlights in harsh, bright sunlight. When you take the camera underwater, the color correction is remarkably effective. The light red filter handles shallow blue water beautifully, while the magenta filter fixes the green tint found in deeper or freshwater environments. The snap-on design makes switching between filters incredibly fast without needing to strip down your camera setup. Just remember that these won't work if you are using a protective housing or a Media Mod.

The SOONSUN 4-Pack Dive Filter set is a complete color-correction toolkit designed specifically for the official GoPro Hero 5, 6, and 7 Black waterproof housing. Underwater photography often suffers from a heavy blue or green wash, but these professional formulas—including red, light red, and magenta options—work to restore those lost, vibrant tones during scuba diving or snorkeling. I was particularly impressed by the inclusion of a 5x close-up macro filter, which is a game-changer for capturing intricate details of marine life or small objects with clarity. Because these are built with high light transmittance materials, you don't have to worry about losing video definition or suffering from dim footage. Just remember that these are engineered strictly for the official housing and won't work on third-party cases or directly on the camera lens.

Rigid support systems demand lightweight components, and these SmallRig carbon fiber rods are the perfect solution for filmmakers building compact, high-performance camera rigs. At just 4 inches long, these 100mm hollow tubes are designed specifically for precision 15mm support setups where every gram matters. I found the carbon fiber pattern on the outer surface not only looks professional but provides excellent corrosion resistance and impressive rigidity. Because they are non-threaded, they function as pure structural extensions for mounting essential gear like follow focuses or matte boxes. They offer a much sturdier alternative to standard metal rods without adding unnecessary bulk to your handheld or tripod-mounted builds. Just keep in mind these are specialized short segments meant for specific accessory spacing.

The GoPro Performance Chest Mount is the gold standard for creators seeking stabilized, hands-free POV footage. These precision-made spigots solve the common headache of connecting 1/4-inch gear to 3/8-inch mounts, making them indispensable for anyone managing a complex lighting setup. I found the all-metal construction incredibly reassuring. The electroplated surface provides a rugged, anti-oxidation finish that can withstand the rigors of constant studio use. Whether you are attaching a wireless flash receiver to a light stand or mounting a ball head to a trigger, the assembly process is seamless and can be done quickly by hand. At roughly 5.8 ounces, they feel substantial without adding unnecessary bulk to your kit, ensuring your accessories remain secure and stable during a shoot.

The featherlight weight of these carbon fiber rods is the first thing you notice when swapping them out for heavy stainless steel. At just 40g, they significantly reduce the overall load on your rig without sacrificing structural integrity. The surface is incredibly smooth, which makes sliding your matte boxes or follow focus units into place feel effortless and precise. While they lack female threads, their heat resistance and corrosion-proof build make them a rugged choice for demanding outdoor shoots. These 8-inch rods are perfect for compact setups where every gram counts, providing a high-performance foundation that feels much more premium than traditional metal alternatives.

Rigging up a professional video set requires hardware that won't fail mid-take, and the ULANZI Super Clamp is a essential tool for anyone building custom shoulder rigs or mounting monitors to bike handles. I found the CNC-machined aluminum alloy construction to be incredibly sturdy, feeling much more premium than standard plastic alternatives. The 60mm opening range is impressively versatile, allowing you to secure accessories to everything from 15mm rods to thicker 30mm DJI Freefly Movi setups. With a 3.3lb load capacity and a protective rubber pad to prevent surface scratches, it strikes a perfect balance between grip strength and gear safety. If you are looking to switch up your footage from standard head-mounted angles to something more immersive and dynamic, this is a smart, low-cost addition to your gear bag.

This quick release plate is surprisingly versatile because it bridges the gap between different tripod standards, fitting seamlessly into either 1/4-inch or 3/8-inch mount sockets. During testing, the build quality felt incredibly durable, providing the kind of rugged reliability you need when you're transitioning quickly between shots.
