They resist compression even under the heavy weight of a loaded kayak. The security comes from the 1.5-inch wider tie-down straps and an integrated anti-slip mat that keeps everything from sliding. Installation is a breeze since it requires zero tools, and once your adventure is over, the entire kit folds down into the included heavy-duty nylon duffel bag for easy storage.
