Waking up on a hard, uneven patch of forest floor is a quick way to ruin a weekend trip, but this cot changes that dynamic entirely. I tested the ComfortSmart system, and the combination of the coil suspension and that thick foam mattress pad provides a level of support you rarely find in portable sleep gear. It feels remarkably stable thanks to the steel frame, which holds up to 275 lbs without feeling flimsy. When the trip is over, it folds down easily enough to slide into almost any car trunk, making it a reliable companion for your next outdoor excursion.

Most backpackers assume a decent night's sleep requires a heavy, bulky frame, but the MARCHWAY ultralight cot completely defies that weight-to-comfort ratio.
