It strikes a perfect balance between a vibrant, glittery aesthetic that kids love and the durable construction necessary to survive continuous play.

The satisfying, muted bounce of the four mesh drum pads is the first thing you’ll notice when you start practicing. Unlike traditional acoustic kits that can shake the whole house, the DED-70 uses quiet mesh technology to keep the volume manageable while still feeling responsive under your sticks. It is an impressively complete package for beginners, coming with everything from the throne and headphones to a sturdy adjustable rack. I particularly like the dual power options. Being able to run the kit off a USB power bank via Type-C makes it surprisingly portable for a setup this solid. The 9.2-inch deep bag provides serious capacity, while the 4-inch diameter opening ensures you aren't fighting to get sticks in or out.
