At a size #8 with a length of roughly 3-4cm, they hit that sweet spot for targeting salmon, trout, and steelhead. The slow-sinking profile is particularly effective because it allows the lure to drift naturally through the water column rather than plummeting straight to the bottom. Whether you are chasing steelhead in a river or trout in a lake, having this specific color split in your fly box ensures you have a response for different water clarity levels.

After weeks of use in shallow flats, these Crazy Charlie flies have proven to be a reliable staple in my fly box.
