Under Armour has perfected the essential training short with the Raid 2.0, a lightweight powerhouse that handles high-intensity workouts without feeling bulky. During testing, the ultra-soft fabric felt incredibly smooth against the skin, while the 4-way stretch construction ensured that deep squats and lateral movements never felt restricted. I particularly appreciated the mesh back panel, which provides targeted ventilation exactly where heat tends to build up. Because the material wicks sweat and dries so rapidly, you aren't left feeling heavy or damp halfway through a session. The loose, fuller cut offers plenty of room to move, and the encased elastic waistband with an internal drawcord keeps everything securely in place. These are reliable, no-nonsense shorts for anyone prioritizing comfort and mobility.

You are halfway through a grueling HIIT session, sweat is pouring, and the last thing you want is heavy, damp fabric clinging to your legs. These adidas Designed 2 Move shorts solve that problem immediately using AEROREADY technology to pull moisture away from your skin. The regular fit is the real winner here, offering enough room for deep squats without feeling baggy or unrefined. I particularly like the inclusion of side zip pockets, which provide actual security for your keys or card during a run. Beyond the performance, knowing they are crafted from Primeblue recycled material—incorporating Parley Ocean Plastic—makes them a much more conscious choice for your gym rotation. They feel sturdy, secure thanks to the drawcord waist, and ready for high-intensity movement.

Most gym shorts fail the moment you actually start sweating, but these HMIYA training shorts prioritize airflow in a way that feels intentional rather than accidental. I was particularly impressed by the integration of side mesh panels, which provide much-needed ventilation during high-intensity intervals. The lightweight, quick-dry fabric does its job of keeping moisture at bay, while the loose fit ensures you aren't fighting against your clothes during deep squats or sprints. Having secure zipper pockets is a massive plus for keeping essentials safe, and the inner drawcord provides that extra bit of security so you aren't constantly tugging at your waistband. At this price point, they offer a functional balance of comfort and utility for daily workouts.

The soft, breathable texture of the jersey fabric hits you immediately, signaling a level of comfort that lasts well beyond a standard workout session. These Champion shorts are engineered for guys who need a reliable fit without sacrificing style, offering an 8-inch inseam that hits at just the right length for basketball or casual lounging. I was particularly impressed by the build quality. The double-stitch hem and waistband suggest these won't succumb to the usual shrinking or ripping seen in cheaper athletic wear. The elasticized waist paired with an internal drawcord provides a customizable, secure fit that moves with you during high-intensity training. Plus, having two functional pockets makes it easy to carry your essentials like a phone or keys while you're on the move.
